9 (45). i want to like this, but for some reason it just doesnt do anything for me

8 (3). this has such an anthemic feel. so glad it made the top 10!

7 (15). great song but not sure if it deserves biggest hit of all time status.

6 (38). slaps but not her best.

5 (29). tbh the first half alone would've been in my bottom 10, but the second half is just so damn good. the fact that it feels a little overproduced kept me from ranking it any higher.

4 (30). copy and paste what i said about willow here.

3 (61). unlike the other rodrigo songs which i found boring, i do see the appeal here, but it's still overrated lol.

2 (2). wow, i did not at all expect this to reach top 2. fantastic track tho, probably my favorite hit of his since in the night

1 (9). motherfucking banger tho that kinda goes without saying. it's no what you know bout love by pop smoke tho.

Good to see Hell Of A View making it to the top 40, but of course, my lowest country song by Stapleton is the highest in this list.
Save Your Tears and good 4 u are for sure great, and Mood is by far the best and only rap song from this list that I enjoyed. I hope to discover many more non-country songs that I like for 2022, as Leave Before You Love Me was the only non-country song that cracked the top 10 in my list.

Alright I finally caught up on everything and I did not have the worst closeness Omg!!!!

Good Time and Glad You Exist were not the bottom 2, success!!!

I knew Astronaut In The Ocean would have the highest standard deviation the moment I saw it on the list. I get why it is hated but it is a nice funny song and I like his flow and how he can rap fast.

All the Megan songs were all out earlier than I would have thought and was glad to see some people feel the same way about her songs. I cannot stand her music at all, I have found them all annoying.

Since when was Billie Eilish loved? Her music also annoys me and she has only ever made one good song called Everything I Wanted. I have enjoyed nothing else from her. How people seem to enjoy her music I am confused but her songs give me a bad dark negative vibe.

Todo De Ti and Telepatia seems like they could have been nice songs, but I couldn't rank them higher because I could not understand anything they were saying at all, if it was in English maybe I would have had them 30 spots higher, but I did like other aspects of those songs.

Wow, Levitating won by a blowout, I thought it would have been close. I definitely did not expect Save Your Tears for 2nd but I will enjoy it!

Also why in the world was You Right the first Doja Cat song out? That was the best one of them 4! Doja and Weeknd collabed very well.

I mean..."Happier Than Ever" in particular doesn't seem that hard a sell. It's a breakup song where the narrator fell in love with a guy because he seemed 'not like those other men', but eventually the guy disappointed her and that soured her on more things than just the guy. Initially she tries to say this gently but then she reaches a tipping point and just lets loose on him. Catharsis! The emotional beats she hits are broadly applicable even if you're not in her exact situation--we've all had people like that in our lives, and not just in terms of romantic partners.
As for the "bad dark negative vibe" of many of her songs, hint: that's a good thing for a lot of us Sarcasm/irony is fun and transgression is hot. The people who are trying to exploit you and keep you weak hate when you can't be immediately understood from the surface and don't conform to the "polite" manners of expression.
