I don't think January 14th would be the impact date since that's a Friday. That's probably when the song gets released to the public sabre14I will say live version sounds very promising for this song and assuming the audio is like it, I think this could do even better than "Just About Over You"

I really like this. I liked her debut single alright, but this is really catchy, a bop.

Unrelated to this song but "Just About Over You" managed to sneak into the Hot 100 this week at #100 for a final chart appearance.

Wow, this is bad. That verse is dreadful... not sure what she was going for with this vocal, but she did not nail it. I like her, but this one is a total miss for me.

Yeah really underwhelmed with this one as I like her. Truthfully her voice was never her strong suit to me as to me I look more at her as a package plus has strong tiktok engagement. But there isn’t much to grab from this one.

Wish You Were The Whiskey was the CHOICE. 😂 this song fell flat big time. I don’t think this will do well at all.

I like most of this song and she is a very likable fun prescence on social media, but Priscilla's vocals on the second verse aren't great at all especially when she sings 'That I'd be here tonight', which just sounds very rough imo. Still I like the song and I am very much rooting for her to succeed.
I do think this is pretty radio friendly and I imagine UMG is probably gonna promote this song very long like "Just About Over You" but as much as I love Priscilla Block, gut instinct is telling me this is probably gonna at best do as well as her debut single and realistically I can see this getting lost in the shuffle this year and peaking at like #35 or something on the chart. I do think lowkey they would have been better off releasing "Wish You Were The Whiskey" instead to radio.

Confused by the negative reception. Read these comments before listening to the audio expecting a mess, but this is good imo. Prefer this much more to her debut; while nothing groundbreaking it’s an earworm for me.

Wow, I actually think this would be an obvious smash hit coming from someone like Kelsea Ballerini, or maybe even Lainey Wilson! I can totally hear what Priscilla was going for with this one. It still remains to be seen if she can turn this or anything else into a hit, but I think this is a LOT better than her debut!

I don’t think this is bad at all, but i will agree wish you were the whiskey has a potential higher ceiling. Although with newer artists that is hard to predict. I think My Bar has a chance to do alright. Would not shock me to see it have a Lauren Alaina type finish either.
Oh by the way, we won’t have to wait for a physical release, there is a cd preoder available on amazon to be released on feb 11th!

Similar concept to Lauren Alaina's "Bar Back", but nowhere as good. This isn't bad at all, it just isn't anything that gets me excited.

This is okay, but kind of underwhelming. I echo the above posters that Wish You Were The Whiskey would've been a better choice. That song has a great melody, strong production, and powerful vocal, all of which are missing from this song.

She continues to bring nothing new or interesting to the table. This song has the bones of turning into a possible hit because it fits as an inoffensive generic radio filler, but her voice is just... nothing to get excited about, and this song is just so damn plain. She fails to stand out in the way that artists with powerhouse voices like Mickey Guyton or Lauren Alaina do, nor does she have the uniqueness or charisma of a Kelsea Ballerini or Lainey Wilson. Priscilla is just "there," which is good enough for male artists at country radio, but I don't see it working long-term for a female artist when they have such an uphill battle for airplay. Her debut hit really didn't move the needle in a big way and took well over a year just to limp into the top 20, so I am not optimistic that she'll get a hit out of this one.

The only part I like about this one is the actual concept, something about the lyrics for this just come off so basic like they don’t say anything interesting despite me liking the overall idea.
He vocal is similar, for me it’s that there’s no interesting things she does with phrasing. Just feels like she’s talking at me for the most part.

As has already been said, Lauren Alaina already did this concept - and did it way better.
Justice for Bar Back.

All her songs sound like demos - not sure if it’s the production or her basic voice. But I don’t like this all that much.

Had really low expectations for this based on the reception here, but I think this is a bop! Not her best (that title belongs to "Whiskey") but super radio friendly and catchy. Not sure about her long term prospects with radio though. She strikes me as the solo version of Runaway June. 💀

Interested to see how this does for adds next week as it is at 5 total stations before add date which is pretty good for the follow up single that peaked in the Top 15 so fingers crossed this can at least get 30 total stations next week and have a solid start.
I will say this song has grown on me, I still prefer her debut single (that song was released right around the same time I was literally going through what the song described) but I definitely think this could be a sleeper hit. Also while I imagine Lady A will get more adds next week with their new single, I wonder/hope if Priscilla will at least make it competitive next week.

Yeah this song actually has grown on me quite a bit and I can see it doing better than I initially thought. I still don't see this becoming a huge but ya know, I kinda get her brand and can see her carve a lane out for herself as a relatable sassy artist with catchy country pop songs (though I hope she doesn't go too far with the drinking/party theme.) With all respect as well, I think her "non conventional" look even helps her connect to a very commonly left out group country listeners (a lane in which i feel that Brittany Spencer can snatch up too).

Most added song this week with 46 stations on add week and 51 total stations. For comparison "Just About Over You" got 25 adds and 27 total stations. So this song is definitely off to a very solid start and given this songs amount of adds I could see this doing better than "Just About Over You" did

For sure shattered my expectations with the amount of adds this pulled in. I'm pumped because this is an absolute jam to me; happy that radio appears to be on board with her.

This feels like a hit. Has a strong melody and solid production. There are some other good songs on her album. Definitely an artist to keep an eye on imo, there might be something big going on here.

Yeah this song (and artist) has really has grown on me. Seeing it's consistent adds and i think its at like #53 on Mediabase already. I get what Ray is saying about how this song just might be bigger than her debut. Keeping it real, I stalked her Instagram a couple weeks ago to see her journey/story and I'm very impressed with her tenacity and drive to make it in the industry despite things going against them (weight, sound etc.) Truthfully, her voice and writing up until like 2015 was definitely not impressive and she worked extremely hard to get to where she is now. She didn't even really hit her vocal and writing stride until about 3 years into moving to Nashville right after high school and didn't develop her sound/brand until Thick Thighs which was 2 more years after that. She didn't blow up and sign a major deal until TikTok and Just About Over You which happened a little over a year ago during the pandemic but for the last 7 or so years in Nashville, she's definitely been hustling and paying her dues. It was actually interesting to see her post about Luke Combs in 2016 at a smaller Nashville show (though packed) talking about his songwriting and how huge he's going to be (and we saw how that ended up lol). She doesn't have the best voice or the best look but she has a ton of charisma and her writing reminds me of that early relatable Taylor Swift energy. That My Bar video had a crazy amount of charisma to me and honestly, she wasn't even doing much lmao.

dwindeezy "My Bar" was at #55 on Mediabase this past week. Still a great start though for a song that went for adds only a few weeks ago, and I loved the interview with Kelly Clarkson and the performance of this song. I really do feel like Priscilla Block to be a future decent star in the genre.

LOVED her interview too and actually her personality reminds me of early Kelly with the bubbly-ness lol. Her album is also holding up well on itunes (currently #2 Country albums) so you just may be right Ray as it seems she has fans and/or people finding out about her are liking what they're seeing.
