After the got-old-fast Level of Concern, I never thought 21P would do an about face and had their best song (IMHO) ever with Saturday. A shame that a few people don't rave over it, it's ear candy (insert diabetes joke here LOL).

70. Leave Virginia Alone - Tom Petty
I thought I recognized the melody. It's that Rod Stewart hit song. I think I like Rod's version better.

69. Shaken - David Shaw
I kinda dug this one. Didn't realize it was that Rivivalists' guy. His vocals went good with the style of the song. The melody was banging, and sounded a bit like Dire Straits guitar arrangements in the verses.

68. Heading South - Zach Bryan
The song might have had heart, but it kept mine from pumping. His vocal tones didn't help his situation either.

67. Waiting on a War - Foo Fighters
I actually think this one fits better on the format than "Making A Fire" I didn't rank it higher, but it really goes that extra mile to win over the format. Plus it is a good song to begin with.

66. Survivor - Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats
Don't get used to me ranking Nate and the gang this high, the music really sounded like something I would go for on this format. better vocals would have done it wonders.

64. Wrecked - Imagine Dragons
Thank goodness for this Alt cruisovers. Filled my dunk tank a lot quicker.

63. Stop Making This Hurt - Bleachers
The more I preview this one the worse it gets. At least their new one is a Jam.

62. Hold Yourself. - Tune-Yards
This melody went everywhere except where I thought it would. For a band that calls themselves the Tune Yards this just tuned me out.

61. Worry with You - Sleater-Kinney
That intro with the synths sounded like 70's Heart. Top 20 on my list right there and then. The rest of the song sounded better than most of 2021 Alt and Active as well.

60. Ghosts - Bruce Springsteen
Bruce sounding like a Rocker instead of an old man for once in a long while. Gotta give him credit for that.

59. Freedom - Jon Batiste
Way better than the other one. WTF is wrong with you all? Plus this out before Bakar? Now that is disturbing.

58. Poor Boy a Long Way from Home - The Black Keys
Both Black Keys songs were kinda just existing. I think they will fall where they need to. Again the wrong one out first.

57.Making a Fire - Foo Fighters
Not surprised at you all. I gave it the best chance possible I could with a rank I give a song I love. For me it's a firy bulls eye and that's that. Not all camp fire jams are bad. Especially beach party at night with college chicks and beer. 

56. What You Say - Cold War Kids
This band never blew me away and I have yet to give them a top 10 slot on my weekly charts, but this one is definitely in my top 3 Cold War kids song. It's a banger.

This does remind me a bit of Jessica Simpson "With You". Love that song. Lorde sounds great on this song.

Handful of Water - Sofía Valdés
very easy on the eyes and ears. I like it.

The Mission - Bakar
I cannot stand this guy's vocals tones or any one else who sounds like they are singing while they are dozing off.  Anyway this Bakar guy Sounds like he has a permanent hang-over. This reminds me I still have a couple dead fish floating in my tank.

Keep My Name Outta Your Mouth - The Black Keys
Sounds a bit like White Stripes. Why couldn't we rank this one instead.

How Lucky - Kurt Vile & John Prine
based on this song Kurt will probably be on of those One-Hit wonders on my personal charts. At least we will always have "Pretty Pimpin'"

Know That I Know - Lake Street Dive
Can't think of one song from this band that I haven't liked. They just sound so authentic.

How Low Can You Go - LP
The song itself isn't too terrible, but These vocal tones are not for me.

Questions - Middle Kids
This one is alright. I'm pretty sure they have better songs out there. Nice vocals.

Spanish Doors - Liz Phair
It ain't no "Why Can't I", but it sounds really early 2000's retro and it is extremely melodic. Even the fade out is so yesterday radio. I dig that.

[Darkest Hour]

I am not even a big fan of Zach Bryan, but he is generally good at these minimal/lo-fi arrangements. Quite easy to see why he has huge social presence.

Still dislike the production of Stop Making This Hurt. It sounds so fake.

I wish the singles from Western Stars rather than Letter to You to be more successful. That said Bruce still got power in Ghosts and as a fan I rank it high.

I think I would be annoyed with What You Say if it is a big hit. It's good in a few listens at least.
