So "If I Didn't Love You" honestly struggled a lot more than I expected in this rankdown. It had the unfortunate luck of most of its lower ranks coming in the first half, which meant that for much of the rankdown it didn't even seem like it was going to be a top 20 contender. Finally in the final 1/3 it ended up turning into a consistent top 15 contender when the high ranks caught up to the low ones, but it wasn't until LBTrocks ' final list that it climbed into the top 10, snatching Chris' spot in the future decade-end list! Flops' impact really being felt lately!!!

Pleasantly surprised to know If I Didn't Love You is not top 10 for the most time until a certain someone submitted.

gardyfan what's that 99 ranking? Kinda feel his rank makes Hell of a View finish just above no body no crime.

Look at that consistency! If I recall correctly, I think "betty" had a very similar performance in last year's rankdown. While the final spot in the top 10 proved to be more or less on rotation between Jason/Carrie, Chris, and Ingrid, Taylor pretty much had the #8/9 spots on lock for much of the time. She proved to be such a strong contender that even a bottom 2 from gardyfan and a bottom 20 from Troublemaker were not enough to ruin her top 10 chances.

I love “no body, no crime” but like I said in evermore thread, it should never have been released as a single because I knew radio was going to do her dirty.

Lol shade me all you want y'all but I did good things in this RD, getting "If I Didn't Love You" into the top 10 being one of the best. That song is AMAZING. The melody and production are insanely good, Carrie sounds fantastic as usual, and her and Jason actually sounded quite good together IMO.
"no body, no crime" is seriously one of my fav Taylor songs ever. Lyrics are great, melody is amazing, AND I like what she did with the song vocally. Yes you read that right, she nailed this.

Good god Stapleton left before the top 10. I still don’t hate this song, it’s like 4 out of 10 (I said I only hate my bottom 7), but it’s just very boring to me, same as most his materials.

Didn't realize We Were Rich is this consistent. They deserve a true hit though (Buy My Own Drinks made zero longlasting impact).

"We Were Rich" is fine, but I agree with recordyear 's shade from earlier that it's only doing better than "We Didn't Have Much" because it's sung by female vocalists. To me, "We Didn't Have Much" is superior in literally every way. I do like Runaway June more than Justin Moore overall as artists, but to me this was by far one of the least noteworthy songs on their album. It's grown on me a little bit over time, but there are still a few songs on their album I would have rather seen get released. It was a very good album overall! Interested to see what happens next now that the lead singer has announced her departure. Edit: Lmao I realize it's still in my top 30 😂 So clearly my critiques don't mean THAT much. But "We Didn't Have Much" was closer to my top 20.

"no body, no crime" is easily the weakest of the three Taylor singles sent to country radio in the past few years so I'm not particularly mad about it bowing out at #9. I mean, it made the top 10! So despite my joke earlier, I will not be banning people over low ranks for Taylor here hehe
"We Were Rich" is amazing and it deserved to be a big hit, I'm still salty.

"Hell of A View" is a snoozer. Not bad really, just boring.

And there goes our highest solo male song! Eric Church has made the top 7 once again with "Hell of a View", which is similar to the region he has frequently finished before with some of his better-received songs like "Talladega" and "Record Year".
I can understand those who find "Hell of a View" to be boring, as a lot of his mid-tempo songs like this do tend to sound similar. But I always enjoy it when it's on!

I really wish EC would have made a music video for Hell of a View. (Same for You Should Probably Leave.)

As long as anything besides “Drunk” wins I’ll be happy 😁 I will be banning all the "Drunk" supporters methinks, it did not deserve top 5 over "Martha Divine"

"Martha Divine" is a song I chose to leave off of the 2020 rankdown out of hopes that it might chart in 2021.... And lo and behold, it did!! ;) So we are finally ranking it this year despite most of its strugglesome run happening in 2020. And what a competitor it proved to be!!! This song was pretty much always in the top 10, on the cusp of the top 5! I love the feisty energy of this one. It's been awhile since we had a good uptempo murder celebration in country music Shame it couldn't turn into a hit. It's obviously a hit in our hearts, however!

Both murder songs are great but Martha Divine has that sinister power that no body no crime doesn't have. "And it ain't murder if I bury you alive" damn.

Ashley McBryde is fantastic and "Martha Divine" is a total jam!! Glad it made the top 10, but with what we have left, I wish it could have won tbh lol.

Wow, looks like we are finishing this tonight I can slow down if you'd like! Okay, so I know I joked about this, but... My best friends had a baby last weekend, and they just texted me to ask if I wanted to come over and meet her finally I don't think I'll stay too long, since they are still adjusting to life with a new baby, so I'll plan to finish this still when I get back. Hopefully a couple hour break will let people catch up and then be around for the big reveal!!!
