She also said she hoped the album would be out by December 2021 but obviously that didn't happen. I hope we don't have to wait too long.

I really have two wishes, neither of which do I expect to come true: co-writers and Shania is "executive" producer but not a producer. I feel like she wasn't challenged enough on NOW, and I'd like to see her be pushed, because I think that's when she's been at her best.

wonder if she's gonna scrap most of the songs she did We've only heard a brief snippet of one of the possible songs for the new album so I'm not sure why you think she would scrap songs on the album unless you know something the rest of us do not. |

I just love this woman so much. Come On Over was the first country album I ever purchased and I had it memorized word for word. I only got the Bollywood version of Up! but I think I was even more obsessed with that album than COO. Now was actually a really solid album. Because Of You came on the other day out of the blue and I was almost struck by how beautiful it is and how real she sounds. Her voice is very effective on that song. I would love to hear more from her.

I saw her Friday night and agree, it was MUCH stronger than it was during the March shows in 2020. I think the time away helped and suspect she did have another surgery. Her talking voice was stronger too. I will say the covers she did did not sound good lol kinda like the AMAs acoustic covers opening a few years back, but the show was amazing. |

I guess Cody above has a valid point! I also heard that it is very much true that she was working on a double album like she alluded to be doing during the press cycle for Let's Go. Hopefully that's still the case.

so, she scrapped 70% of what she had recorded in 2019-21... There was also several songs finished for NOW that were either re-recorded or left on the floor when she changed producers. Point is, we don't know how far along she actually was and what she may or may not have done with the material she said she was working on a few years ago. Also, as a long-time Shania fan, I usually take her word about new music to mean little. So, just because she said she had been in the studio, who knows what that actually meant. Based on what she's said in the past, by now, other artists should be recording songs she's written; that hasn't happened yet, either. |
