Let a new era begin. The song is called "Wake Up" and it impacts Alternative on June 21. They are no longer with Warner Music Group and are now with AWAL.

I really hope they keep getting hits. "Superposition" hitting #1 was such a nice surprise. Wish "Heat Of The Summer" had done better after that. Hoping for a top 5 lead

New album American Bollywood due out later this year.
Love it. Very shoegaze-y.

The whole vibe of this is very 90's to me, really like it on first listen.

I don’t know if I like this yet but it definitely doesn’t sound like a hit

Peopel mentiuon 90's and I put my guard up, but I forget 90's had some really great Alternative rock. This one rides on a great melody. Should be a favorite for 2022.

Young the Giant said in a Reddit AMA that their EPs will be coming out about 4-5 weeks from each other, with Act II officially coming out on August 15th. My guess is we get the full album on like October 14th.

This is stalling already. Are they indie now? This didn't seem to have any real push behind it. Surely it should have gone top 20 at least?

Yes. For context, they are now on the same indie label (AWAL) as Dayglow.

Annoying...they had just gotten their first #1 with the last album and their next lead single barely goes top 30. WTF

Not entirely surprising. Probably one of my favorite singles they've released quality wise, but it's not super radio friendly. Pretty much everything released from the first two EPs hasn't been radio friendly (this is by far the most accessible), as a lot has been pretty slow burning. Very personal album for Sameer, so I don't think they're really caring that much about radio this go round. Plus I feel like album rollouts like the one they're doing don't tend to do well with radio (released in separate acts; both Foals and Cold War Kids in recent memory didn't do so hot on radio with this rollout).
My guess is they'll send "Dollar $tore" to radio once Act III gets its release date since that one sounds more in line with their singles discography (currently exclusive to MLB The Show 22's soundtrack). More similar in vein to their more summery songs.
