The difference is that song debuted the week it was released and couldn’t re-enter for a bit while it was taking off worldwide due to the Kanye/Drake double-whammy. WIG just can’t quite catch a break, and I mostly blame its poor streaming in the US.

As a Buffalonian, the Griselda trio is part of my personal holy trinity of musicians from my home city alongside the Goo Goo Dolls and Rick James, so of course I’m excited to see one of them (Benny the Butcher) finally score a Hot 100 entry outside of when the other two were on Donda.

i love this set of debuts, the bubbling under is getting cleared out

my hopes were realistically too high for a "when i'm gone" debut

I wouldn’t mind Em Beihold taking off. Idk if y’all remember or were on TikTok, but “Groundhog Day” was cute & the promo was impressive considering she was doing it all herself & the visuals were really polished. A H100 debut for her first major label single bodes well too

I brought this up before, but it's interesting how they are only focusing on Disney animated movies with this record of Bruno being only the second #1, but if we include ALL animated films, not just Disney, there have been many more hits and memorable songs, as Billboard has even detailed themselves from the below article just a couple years ago! Lol

For instance in the last eight years alone, there have been 3 very big #1's: Happy (from Despicable Me 2), Can't Stop the Feeling! (from Trolls), and Sunflower (from Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse).

I guess you can argue that these films are different from Encanto and Aladdin in that they aren't musicals and that none of the characters in the movies sing the songs (although I'm not sure on this last point because I actually haven't seen the films), however I don't believe these qualifiers are included in the distinction Billboard is making, so it's just a little puzzling with their focusing on Disney, and confounding things by making it seem like a #1 or a big hit from an animated film is extremely rare.

To me these are big differences. "Bruno" being a song used in the musical and sung by the (not exactly famous) actors puts it in a very different group.

I agree that is different from the Disney thing.

^ In a sense, I'm kind of not even sure if a #100 peak on the Hot 100 would look better than #1 on Bubbling Under, for someone like Katy Perry.
