It's #7 on US spotify this week.

^On top of that the album is #3 on Amazon Music & #21 on AM. It is uncharacteristic for an album to be doing great on every single streaming platform this deep in its run.

The main reason is that there was never any interest towards the song when the album came out. SYT and Despacito were at least hyped even before the collaboration was released.

People expecting a BL meets Circles type of song set their bar way too high but it’s expected when they’re the biggest songs of their respective careers. I do wish we did get more than what we got in the replay ability because i’ve never heard the song in like weeks honestly and when hits do that to me i tend to grow more apart from them.

Looks like the Encanto songs have peaked for now, time to see how they stabilize as the hype dies down.

THATS WHAT I WANT continues to regain momentum by being up 22%, both Alien Blues and Notion crack the Top 50 by rising 31% and 29% in streams respectively, and Euphoria continues to have an impact on the music world as All for Us gained 16%

The early, pre-streaming part of the 2010s (2010-2012) was more active. Once streaming was added to the Hot 100 formula in 2013, the charts became more stagnant and less songs entered the Top 10. I'd say that 2010-2012 period was about 70 songs a year in the Top 10 (like 2020-2021), and the 2013-2019 period had like 45 songs a year in the Top 10.

The "one weekers" can be deceiving too. For instance, Thats What I Want, Oh My God and One Right Now are one-weekers but still top 30.

Weeknd has like 4 singles (Save Your Tears, One Right Now, You Right, Blinding Lights) from other projects doing more numbers than any song from his current new album each week. I’ve never seen anything like this. This must be a nightmare for his team 💀
