Since it's his next single, the GP and his label pushing it on radio will do most of the work as a starter since there is already natural hype because of their big names, she can promote it later once the innitial hype slows down a bit, won't be surprised if they give us a performance or something as well.

It's a moonshot for predicting Nicki's sales this week because of the ambiguity of how the new rule applies. DWHAP has like ~30K on iTunes across the 3 versions, unknown on others, and ~21K? website orders.

If Billboard's new rule is 1 per person per version per week, and the card number is not the only thing they use for identifying a "person" given many used those Privacy card things (e.g. email/device/IP address which can be shared across both iTunes and the website), and most people who bought on the site *already* bought on iTunes, then the sales would struggle to be much higher than 35K-40K because none of those website sales would count since most of them already bought it on iTunes

According to this specific predictor, WDTAB has 14.2 million airplay and DWHAP has 0.9 million airplay, both of which are clearly inaccurate. Not to mention the points are hilariously off. Easy On Me literally did 250 points last week, no way is it doing anywhere close to 284 this one.

I'm not trusting anyone outside of people who have good track records, like lippredicts, cedriccharts, ChartEssentials, TealBentley, etc.

That bottom ten is a red flag to me, too. Surface Pressure overtaking Super Gremlin seems... strange when SG was #2 on Streaming last week and SP was #3, the former has radio play and the latter doesn't, and SP hasn't had any major gains this week.

I also doubt that Cold Heart will return to the top ten with how quickly radio has been dropping it.

If Billboard's new rule is 1 per person per version per week, and the card number is not the only thing they use for identifying a "person" given many used those Privacy card things (e.g. email/device/IP address which can be shared across both iTunes and the website), and most people who bought on the site *already* bought on iTunes, then the sales would struggle to be much higher than 35K-40K because none of those website sales would count since most of them already bought it on iTunes

I really want to see how this plays out. Billboard did say 1 purchase per customer so I’m thinking they must be using more than just credit card to filter the bulk purchases.

I understand your point but tbh if it does top 10 and then some longevity it's gonna be better for her. #1 and gone songs are not that impressive anymore.

Much like how Cardigan and Willow ultimately added very little to Taylor's legacy. (I'm gonna give ATW a pass because it's been legendary for a decade amongst her fanbase and they didn't even try to send it to radio to help legs unlike the other two).

Or like how ultimately Dynamite is probably the one BTS song people can name in spite of 3 or 4 #1 hits since.

Cardigan and Willow added little to Taylor's legacy? Those two songs are excellent and beautiful. I for one am glad that they will forever be known as Taylor's #1 singles, instead of one of her other lame songs like Me.

Excellent and beautiful have zero to do with them being remembered by consumers much. In both cases I feel the albums were way more successful than any particular song.
