It depends on whether pop radio will hold on to abcdefu for another week. If it does, it will be contender for not only kWorb #1, but also the Hot 100 #1 on the 3/19 chart. If not, Enemy is coming and looks to be a future #1 on radio.

I think it'll hold up on pop for a another week.i don't get the appeal of why pop would hold on to abcdefu,but anyways i do agree enemy is definitely coming.

Number one on the Triple J 100 countdown for 2020 year end songs, which propels it to number one in the first weeks of 2021. Number one for seven weeks and then it stays in the top 11 (top 10 for all but one week where it fell to 11) for another 47 weeks, and then returns to number one after 47 weeks away and 65 weeks on the chart in 2022!

Like there’s nothing comparable to that

WDTAB’s stats are overinflated due to the weak competition. The fact that it’s already at ~210 points in Week 10, after peaking at around 290 points just 4 weeks earlier, tells me this will not have a long shelf life. Unless this picks up on radio, I’ll be surprised if this spends more than 25 weeks on the chart. (It certainly won’t be competing for a Top 5 spot in Week 34 like Stay.)

I keep forgetting that Dua Lipa is on Cold Heart. I guess this would be her biggest hit this year by default along with Levitating repeating. But i hope she drops sometime this year because i feel like the hype has gotten way bigger for her to try to actually get that #1 this time around.

So now that it's peaked in popularity, can I ask: what is the appeal of We Dont Talk About Bruno and I mean that for those who like Encanto? Because in context of the movie, it's a pretty mean song when you get down to it and so for it to be the big hit feels odd

It just sounds good lol. Ig it's either you vibe with it or you don't. It contains so many of my favourite moments/transitions of the year so far and can't stop replaying it. I really recommended headphones if you haven't tried already, but otherwise it might just not be your style

Tried it with earphones on, still didn't click but tbh, Encanto is my least favorite Lin-Manuel Miranda musical that I've seen. Both as a story and in terms of the songs, nothing hits the same way Hamilton, In the Heights, or Moana did. Eh, it is what it is.

I just think it's very ironic the song that's intentionally antithetical to the themes and message of the movie was the one that's the biggest.

Well I haven't seen the movie but I've heard it's kind of like the "villain song" for a movie that doesn't really have a "villain". People love villain songs

Now that you say it, WDTAB does feel like a villain song that is sung from the perspective of literally everyone but the "villain" itself. The opposite of Gaston if you may, where instead of a song listing off one character's supposed good traits, its just basically 3 and half minute of the entire cast kinda slandering one character.

It’s getting pretty ridiculous at this point. Stay had 25 weeks with higher point totals than this week’s #1. I’m just glad Stay isn’t at its peak now, or that Old Town Road record might have fallen.
