Crabbuckit coming in last place is just jarring to me. I really enjoy the beat, an unusual beat for a hip-hop song, and the metaphorical meaning of the chorus. Now I want to hear what other songs K-OS has to offer.

{WORD WRITER}#40: The weakest song in a pretty damn good rankdown, and even then, it was still fine.
#39: Kind of surprised this is this low, dig the chorus here and the guitar tone.
#38: This is the kind of song that would give me a big shot of nostalgia if I had known about it going into the rankdown. This reminds me of those nights in the early 2000's where I'd just spend hours at a time indulging in dance music.
#37: This was a song that I really, really expected to like more, and I just didn't feel much while listening to it at all. A shame, really, because it's certainly well-performed and a good song.
#36: What an interesting song. Not surprised at all that it's out now, though.
#35: Well, I'm glad I didn't make formal predictions, because I would have expected this to be way higher based on name recognition alone. You can definitely tell that Yannis hadn't really found his voice yet, but everything else is on point.
#34: I already know what this is, and I didn't even need to see the reveal first lol. When I put together the list for the second 2000's rock RD I hosted, I was extremely torn between this and "Y Control" when it came time to choose a YYY song. I chose the latter because I knew it would be a "safer" choice, but I've always preferred this song and its frenetic energy. I also knew it would be low, so it stings less. I imagine my #1 isn't too far off.
#33: Thank you for saying what I was thinking, aero 2000's T&S is so good.
#32: I have heard this song before, and I can't begin to tell you where I've heard it.
#31: It would have been more of a surprise if this wasn't good, given who performs on the song. |
