well that last set of reveals was painful. "I Can Still Make Cheyenne" should have been Top 15, and "Time Marches On" should have been Top 10! Just wow at those two being out already.
Also "You Win My Love" being out before "No One Needs To Know" is sad. I've always enjoyed YWML way more than NONTK and that is why NONTK is my lowest remaining song. Hopefully it misses the Top 10.
My guesses/hopes for the 5 that miss the Top 10 are:
"No One Needs To Know" "She Never Lets It Go To Her Heart" "Poor, Poor Pitiful Me" "(If You're Not In It For Love) I'm Outta Here" "I Think About You"
Do not want to see Collin Raye miss the Top 10 but I am thrilled he made it to the Top 15! This song is fantastic and deserves to be this high. That said I do expect that the detractors will be enough to keep him from the Top 10.
Also I think Shania Twain is a weak point of the Top 15 right now. Both remaining songs are strong but not compared to the others. I think if one sneaks into the Top 10 it'll be "I'm Outta Here" and I'd be okay with that as I love that song. That said when you compare those two songs to the other 10 songs she just doesn't belong in the top 10 imo.
I'm surprised Tim McGraw and Terri Clark have made it this high and definitely expect them to leave before the top 10, if one sneaks in I'd give the edge to Terri.
Patty, Martina, Jo Dee, George, and Reba with their remaining songs should be locks for the top 10. That leaves two spots so if any of the 5 above should make it than I think it means we see "It Matters To Me" or "When Boy Meets Girl" miss, the only song I think could be not a lock is Patty's "Lonely Too Long", but I hope I'm wrong cause that deserves top 10 here!

I love "No One Needs to Know." It's catchy af and one of her most organic songs in terms of the production.

I love "No One Needs to Know." It's catchy af and one of her most organic songs in terms of the production. tbh while I do like the song it is near the bottom of all the big hits from The Woman In Me album for me. I do tend to skip that one more often than not, whereas "I'm Outta Here", "You Win My Love", and "Any Man Of Mine" I listen to way more

Stats for #15:
Exiting first from the top 15 is a song that was in fact a top 10 contender over the course of the rankdown. All but two participants ranked this outside of their top 50 with six of those all being top 20s. Only one participant loses a top 5.

"Lonely Too Long" was released in August 1996 as the third single from Patty Loveless' album The Trouble with the Truth and went on to become her fifth and final Number One hit on the country charts. With all but two participants placing this outside of their top 50, this remained a solid top 20 contender for the majority of its run with it even making a brief appearance in the top 5. The majority of the group placed this somewhere either within their top 20 or top 40 with ccarter1023 being the lone participant to place this in their top 5. This is also one of the few songs thus far it seems not to have had any bottom 30 rankings and as such clocks in as our sixth least polarizing song.

Stats for #14:
The next song all but looked as though it would land inside the top 10. That is until a random and lone bottom 20 ranking pushed this outside of that in the last quarter of the rankdown. All but two participants placed this outside of their top 50 with four all coming from within the top 10.

Both of these are great, but going out before the Top 10 makes sense for them both.

"Poor, Poor Pitiful Me" was released in September 1996 as the lead single from Terri Clark's second album Just the Same and went on to become her third Top 5 hit on the country charts later that fall. Yet again we have only two participants who ranked this outside of their top 50 with the majority of those either being top 10 s or top 30s. And also much like the previous song, this garnered a lone top 5 from nathanalbright with bboat11, ccarter1023, .indulgecountry all placing this in their top 10. This was in fact a contender to finish as such as it spent the majority of its run there. That would be until a lone bottom 20 ranking from CoJoFan came along just as things were winding down and briefly pushed this back outside of the top 15. For anyone interested, bboat11 is currently hosting an album rankdown for Just the Same which of course features this song along with "Emotional Girl" and other great tracks.

The next song was also a top 10 contender at one point or another over the course of the rankdown with it picking up a total of four rankings from there. And much like the two previous songs, the majority of the group placed this at or very near their top 50 with only one participant putting this very close to their bottom 30.

well sad to see "Lonely Too Long" miss but not surprised. I definitely feel it should have been a lock though.
"Poor, Poor Pitiful Me" is a great song and I'm so happy it did this well, I would have preferred to see it be higher than some others but I'm still happy with 14 for this.
ETA: and of course Collin Raye's time has come. Cannot complain cause there have been a vocal minority that have been wanting this song out so I'm so happy it made it here. This song is one of the most iconic songs from the 90s (of which there are many). Love this one and am happy it made it this far!

"I Think About You" was released in February 1996 as the third single and title track from Collin Raye's fourth album of the same name. It peaked at number 3 on the country charts becoming his eleventh Top 5 overall. Much like the two previous songs, the majority of the group ranked this at or near their top 50 with four of those all coming from within the top 10. This garnered enough support over the course of its run that it found itself inside the top 10 during the last half. But just as things were nearing an end, .indulgecountry's near-bottom 30 ranking pushed this back outside of that where it had to settle for a top 15 showing.

"Believe Me Baby" is absolutely fantastic, that melody is just euphoria! Wish it could have made top 10.
I would have much rather "No One Needs To Know" have been out instead. That's never been a favorite, whereas "You Win My Love" is a certified bop.

This is such a stellar year that every loss is bound to hurt, but losing "Believe Me Baby (I Lied)" and "You Win My Love" below the top 10 hurts, haha. My guess for the two to miss the top 10 are "When Boy Meets Girl" and "Carried Away", but what a stacked list. And I'm glad that Collin Raye made it so high - he is easily one of my favourite 90s artists, and incredibly underrated.

Good Monday morning, y'all! It's taken us three weeks to get here, but we've made it to the tail end of the rankdown with only two more songs separating us from the top 10. Let's find out what those two are, shall we?!

"(If You're Not in It for Love) I'm Outta Here!" was released in November 1995 as the fourth single from Shania Twain's second studio album, The Woman in Me, and became her second number-one hit at country radio and the first single to be promoted with three different mixes worldwide to cater to international genre demand. Despite an early start outside of the top 40, this quickly found its way into the top 20 where it would remain for the duration of the rankdown. It actually only ever made one appearance inside the top 10 as it mostly hovered just outside of that. This in fact then dipped outside of the top 15 altogether towards the last half when a lone bottom 20 ranking came along from 🌺CountryLineDancer. Coming to the rescue in the final moments was LBTrocks who joined austin in the top 5 which in turn allowed this to leap ahead of the three other songs inside the top 15. All in all, this garnered eleven top 25 rankings and fourteen overall in the top half.

"When Boy Meets Girl" was released in October 1995 as the second single from Terri Clark's self-titled debut album Terri Clark and became her second Top 5 hit with it peaking at number 3 on the country charts. Despite this garnering only one top 10 ranking from castleoblivion26, this was a steady contender to finish as such and even picked up enough support to make a brief top 5 appearance near the middle. It was at that very moment that a lone bottom 30 ranking from kw9461 came along which then pushed this to the back of the top 10. A second non-top 50 ranking from CoJoFan came in the last quarter which eventually ended up pushing this back outside of the top 10 altogether in the final moments. Overall, this amassed 15 top 15 rankings in all with the majority of those all coming from inside the top 15 or top 30.

I didn't participate because it was jus too many songs for me to rank, but that's a really solid top 10 IMO. I would have had a least 6 of them in my top 10.

🌺CountryLineDancer is still searching for taste I see! "I'm Outta Here" has always been one of my fav Shania songs, it's so dark and delicious! Glad it made the top 10 but just no to "No One Needs To Know" making it higher than this. ETA: Hate the version tim posted in the reveal lol so if CLD tanked it based on that version I get it a little more. If he tanked it on this then no
