I expect the release of Harry's House to be moved up. If not this Friday, then definitely next Friday. Harry would benefit from getting his album out in front of Jack Harlow and Kendrick Lamar. And that would open up a slot for Posty Here's how Dawn FM vinyls can still win:

"Lil Nas X has no fanbase" has to be the hottest take of the month so far. He literally has: 50 milion monthly listeners on spotify, three number one hits on billboard (+2 top 10 hits), 13 million Instagram followers and double that on tik tok and three songs over a billion streams, with two of those reaching that feat in less than a year.
Does Lil Nas X have the biggest fanbase in the world? No. But could he very well have it in 2-3 years? Absolutely. However saying that he doesn't have a fanbase is absurd any way you slice it

And that would open up a slot for Posty Here's how Dawn FM vinyls can still win: The answer hasnβt changed from the fall when LNX did it: Sell 8 versions of the album at a discounted price.

The average days on the chart for the Spotify top 12?
373
I'm very ready for Harry, Harlow, Calvin, Luke, and Kendrick to bomb the charts and shake that up

In my opinion, if it wasnβt for his consistent social media presence, Montero (CMBYN) wouldnβt have done as well as it did and therefore the Montero album era wouldnβt have done as well either.

However saying that he doesn't have a fanbase is absurd any way you slice it Lol here we go missing the point. By fan base, he does not have rabid obsessive fans who are going to rush to hear new leaked music immediately. BTS, Harry, Taylor, Drake, Beyonce, etc are examples that do. He barely pulled 100k first week with 2 #1 hits going into his album. He factually doesnβt have a rabid fan base or evokes large attention immediately after dropping albums like some other names. He is a singles driven artist that depends on having sizable hits that translate to steady casual numbers overtime. If he dropped an album on Friday with no notice and nothing leading into it then it would do like 30k. Thatβs not a mainstream Pop artist who has a notable fan base. Point being: A leak is not going to draw as much attention (and feed into his numbers) in the same manner as it would for an artist like Harry Styles.

Lizzo has pulled a Meghan Trainor, huge first era and flop afterwards. Her antics are offputting, just like Meghan's castrating No single basically killed her career. No was a great song and people just need to accept it

4. "Disco Jam Session 2003" ft. Fergie, Michelle Branch & 50 Cent 7. "Disharmony" ft. Camila Cabello, Normani & Shawn Mendes 12. "Falling" ft. Katy Perry & Justin Timberlake Don't Think Jesus is down 50 spots to #152 on global Spotify. If that doesn't scream huge #1 debut on Hot 100 I don't think what does really.

Not having rabid obsessives fans does not mean you don't have a fanbase, neither is not being able to get 100K first week. If you said he doesn't have AS big a fanbase as other acts, I would've agreed but that's not what you said.

The point was from the get go an album leak is not affecting him to a similar capacity like Harry Styles, not how much of a fan base he has. Absolutely nothing you offered to say counteracts from that point. I did actually say this, which further just lets me know you're looking to argue. An artist who is singles-driven artist with a small fanbase would ofcourse be impacted way less than a heavy fanbase artist who has fans that are rushing to hear it immediately.

I don't think the leak will have much impact on Harry's performance, and he's better off waiting for physicals to be ready seeing as Fine Line is one of the biggest vinyl sellers of the decade so far (which doesn't even include his first week sales, as those were in 2019) and had launched with the 4th biggest vinyl sales week in Nielsen history at the time. Vinyl as a format has grown and so did his fan base, so I imagine his numbers this time around will be well over the 28,000 Fine Line did.
Most music listeners couldn't be bothered to seek and download a leak. A majority of his core fandom won't, either. In a fan base as all-encompassing as his, for every person that listened to the leak, there's bound to be tens or hundreds more that abstained because "this is not the way Harry intended" for them to hear it et cetera.
On top of that, several unreleased old One Direction and Harry Styles debut album songs were leaked this week, after the album leaked, which some fans speculate was done by Columbia Records to distract fans while they scrub the Harry's House leak off of the internet. I could see some fans choosing to indulge in that and saving Harry's House for later, when it's released.
Not sure why Lil Nas X and his debut album are in this conversation being compared to Harry's 3rd solo & 8th total studio album in the music industry. Harry obviously has more dedicated fans? I don't think that necessarily means the leak will hurt him that much more. The leak being TERRIBLE would have hurt Lil Nas X much much more, for example. Everything in context.

Dua Lipa's label had Future Nostalgia be released a few weeks in advance after it was leaked and Charli XCX cancelled an entire album after it was leaked. Neither really cared about how big of an impact or interest the leaks would have. Who know how Lil Nas X or his label would respond to if they dropped an album unannounced or ahead of schedule

artists don't like leaks regardless of how big their fanbase is. I never said otherwise?... This again has no relation to the point made. Regardless, HARRY's album leaking is a bigger deal than a Lil Nas album or most other albums.

I don't think leaks "steal" as much money from Harry or the label (like i doubt the leaks will steal 50K if Harry still releases on May 20). I just think they're bad as they're releasing content without consent.
