I feel like this is another "Yummy" 🤔 Maybe it will be, maybe not. But the lack of promotion until now and the mid/late-week release date gives me a bad feeling. Well that bad feeling was confirmed because it's literally just a 76 second joke song that was all just some weird promo for the actual song dropping Friday

I feel like “As It Was” will probably spend 10+ weeks at #1 and will be the front runner for “Song of the Summer.” I just can’t see this falling quickly. It’s going to have long winded appeal like “Blinding Lights” and “Stay,” even though those 2 weren’t front loaded. The easiest comparison I can think of with a similar scenario is “Easy on Me” but i think Harry is doing stronger streaming numbers than Adele did with that single. With his album dropping in a few weeks that will just fuel even more weeks at #1 for the single. Lowkey rooting for As It Was since I want it to be at #1 for my birthday lol. Anywho, Kendrick is releasing soon so that might propel his lead single to the summit. I hope though.

Kendrick will probably take the #1 the week the album drop, but Harry's album comes right after so As It Was is almost guaranteed to return after that

No Role Models is top ten on Spotify but the album only barely top 70 on Billboard 200. Wonder why?
Compared to Kendrick's Good Kid, for instance, which is top 20.

Wonder if that penultimate track is some sort of remake of the 2011 song of the same name Drake made with DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, and Lil Wayne?

Can't believe nobody's saying I Feel Funny is gonna be song of the summer... clearly its too good to just be called that, song of the decade is more accurate

Ooh that Drake Tems collab I'm pumped for — Fountains is the only CLB song I still listen regularly to. I'm glad Africa is influencing American music more lately, Bieber and Drake are making awesome music with Nigerian artists lately

Some things to watch out for on that Mariah song ---
2 more weeks to double digit weeks at #1 Next chart week is week 52 so that 52/25 recurrent rule will likely factor in somehow

The fact this wasn't tacked onto CLB is insane.

Anywho, Kendrick is releasing soon so that might propel his lead single to the summit. I hope though. Yes, “Easy on Me” also had interrupted runs at #1 and in the end still racked up 11 weeks. Harry will have a huge radio play advantage even if an album bomb outstreams him. I can see him falling off for a week or 2 and then returning to #1.

There have been songs stronger than EOM that spent less than 10 weeks at #1. Look at Stay last summer, which believe it or not, only spent 7 weeks at #1. And then, there’s Blinding Lights, which only spent 4 weeks at #1 (which is less than WDTAB and Heat Waves). Nobody would have guessed that after its 4th week at #1 two years ago that BL would have never spent another week at #1.

What is spawning the Wants And Needs resurgence? Honestly I think it's from a viral video of two white girls lip-syncing to Lil Baby's verse lmao

What is spawning the Wants And Needs resurgence? Honestly I think it's from a viral video of two white girls lip-syncing to Lil Baby's verse lmao The fact that this song has outlasted every song on CLB, including Girls Want Girls which broke streaming records and also has the same 2 artists on it. It was the top song on AM last year so Drake really fumbled the bag not making this a longevity hit and/or one of his biggest songs on Billboard.
