HOLY GHOST 15. THE WAY THINGS GOING 16. BACK TO THE BASICS Future's AM performance after 30 hours:
1. WAIT FOR U (feat. Drake & Tems) 2. 712PM 3. I'M DAT N***A 4. KEEP IT BURNIN (feat. Kanye West) 5. PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ 6. FOR A NUT (feat. Gunna & Young Thug) 7. LOVE YOU BETTER 8. I'M ON ONE (feat. Drake) 9. MASSAGING ME 10. CHICKENS (feat. EST Gee) 11. GOLD STACKS 12. VOODOO (feat. Kodak Black) 13. WE JUS WANNA GET HIGH 14. HOLY GHOST 15. THE WAY THINGS GOING 16. BACK TO THE BASICS And just like that, Drake's back on top. Two things I wanna say about Tems though: 1. Am I the only one who thinks that with the way her vocals are pitched and produced, she sounds like Abel? 2. Whichever label is handling Tems is doing a good job so far so I hope her star isn't squandered. Regardless of the quality of the songs: a top 10 hit, a feature on Drake's album, and now a feature on Future's album all within 6 months, that's really impressive of her success as both an R&B act and an African act.. Really hope she has an album ready this year. Future's AM performance after 54 hours:
1. WAIT FOR U (feat. Drake & Tems) 2. 712PM 3. PUFFIN ON ZOOTIEZ 4. I'M DAT N***A 5. KEEP IT BURNIN (feat. Kanye West) 6. LOVE YOU BETTER 7. I'M ON ONE (feat. Drake) 8. MASSAGING ME 9. FOR A NUT (feat. Gunna & Young Thug) 10. CHICKENS (feat. EST Gee) 11. GOLD STACKS 12. VOODOO (feat. Kodak Black) 13. WE JUS WANNA GET HIGH 15. HOLY GHOST 16. THE WAY THINGS GOING 17. BACK TO THE BASICS WAIT FOR U will probably go down as the most streamed song this week, Top 3 debut is likely (again congrats to Tems for her biggest debut to date and the highest debut of an African act ever. Hope she gets a hit of her own because she does sound amazing live)

Made a slight mistake yesterday with the Top 10 without Future: Honest should've been #4, forgot to edit it as I was doing the stats.
Biggest Gains (50K+): Something in the Orange, About Damn Time
In two days, Future got more streams than Pusha T, Lil Durk, and Machine Gun Kelly got in a week. By tomorrow or Tuesday, he'll pass Gunna and with the deluxe dropping Monday, he might have more streams than Dawn FM's first week.

Future's biggest dropped to #3 on Spotify already, might not the gigantic smash after all. Didn't it debut at #2? Why are you acting like there's a massive drop from #2 to #3? It depends on the numbers. A drop from #2 to #3 in itself might not be massive, but it did lose 460,000 streams (about -24%). Don't know if that's massive, but it's certainly sizable, plus many other songs on the album had larger % drops, so the big numbers certainly don't seem to be holding up well. Glad to see Lizzo continuing to rebound though. It's a rare sight these days!!

Future's biggest dropped to #3 on Spotify already, might not the gigantic smash after all. I'm really confused on how you have been following streaming numbers for years and still continue to make the most basic mistake of judging a Hip-Hop song/album's streaming performance by Spotify numbers. Future's streams will be like 80% Apple Music. This is like when you said Lemon Pepper Freestyle would miss top 10 because it declined hard on Spotify, then it ended up debuting #3. Also, I'm not even sure who is expecting Future to just get a gigantic smash out the gate. This is someone who has released like 10+ projects the past 10 years, and has had 2 truly sizable mainstream hits to date (Mask Off, Life Is Good).

But the numbers are good, it's still above 1M streams and it's still #1 on AM, it'll still be in the Top 3 of the most streamed songs this week so what's the big deal. And losing over 300K+ streams or having 24% drop is nothing for an album cut during an album bomb. This ALWAYS happens with any big album release, all of the cuts will loses hundreds of thousands of streams after the first day.

Whether you're using a drop in positions or a drop in streams, Wait for U had a decent second day (all things considered). To use another hip-hop song, which is also the biggest streaming hit of the year so far, as an example. This is how it performed in it's first few days: First Class:5.96M 4.09M 3.07M 3.15M 2.90M 2.62M And that was a single while Future released an entire album. Considering the fact that Spotify isn't a platform Future is strong on, if Wait for U stabilizes at ~800K-1M daily streams, I'd call that a win for him. It was always going to pull most of it's streams from Apple Music anyways.

The best thing about We Don't Talk About Bruno is its chart run. It's a massive smash hit, iconic multi-week #1, yet it hasn't hung around at the top of the charts for 9 months, it has a fast climb and fast fall (by today's standards at least), like the hit songs in previous decades did. If all hit songs acted like this the charts would be more entertaining I think.
Although personally I'm starting to think it's not as big as Let It Go after all. Let It Go had a lot more longevity if I remember correctly.

Butter's run fits this mold to some extent, but much of its run was artificial.

Not to mention, Meghan is still only 28, and has time to add another big hit or 2. As she gets deeper into her 30s, itβs only going to get tougher for Lizzo to get a big hit. US Spotify - 04/30/22
17( +18) Lizzo - About Damn Time 621,357 ( +109,676) :)
