Close, but I believe THP4 was actually released a week before the album’s lead single Humble dropped, which itself preceded the full release of Damn by about 2 weeks. Also, I’m not even sure if we’ll get a Part 5 for this album cycle, as the release dates for each part are not consistently tied to all of his album releases (e.g. there was a 5-year gap between Part 3 in 2012 and Part 4 in 2017, so nothing in that series for TPAB in 2015).

Hold My Hand is a modern Lady Gaga song: in that it has some good ideas and Gaga sounds great but is really dragged down by production. While I'm usually not in favor of sequels just repeating the original, this just makes me wish they'd just brought back Kenny Loggins

It would need a bigger resurgence on other streaming platforms for it to chart, not just on Spotify and with the album bombs stacking up, that looks like it'll be harder and harder (although if she does ix with a bigger act, it might get a big enough boost).

It does not matter when Kendrick Lamar puts out the single because it is opening at number one. He is probably just going to put it out with the album to have a single and the album both debut at number one simultaneously

The points you brought up about the success of each movie don't seem really valid however. Encanto had almost all of what Frozen had, maybe not the huge box office numbers, but nearly 100 million in the US is nothing to scoff at, especially around the omicron wave of the pandemic, and it seemed to do even better on Disney+, and it did win the Oscar for best animated feature, and also nominated for best original score and best original song (though obviously for a different song).

Frozen was the most successful movie of its year box office wise. Encanto wasn’t even top 10. Frozen also moved over 4.2 physical albums which was insane at the time. When I meant awards I should’ve clarified that Indina sang let it go a ton of places which led to great promo. People were waiting four hours to meet those sisters in the parks haha. I’m not trying to diminish Encanto/ we don’t talk about Bruno. But I think we forget how insane frozen performed

If anything that shows how well “Bruno” has done since it had huge streaming/popularity despite lacking all of the things Frozen had.

I'm rooting hard for Stay to stay so they can beat The Weeknd's and Katy Perry's records, but I don't think this is definitely the end. Likely all three of Future songs will fall next week, I doubt Bad Bunny will debut more than one song top 10 given his track record and maybe Harlow can send Nail Tech top 10 with one other song, but that would still be fine for Stay to stay. The wildcard is Kendrick — last album release he had one top 10 debut but I can see with the change in streaming patterns him debuting five songs in the top 10, I could also see him pulling an Adele where the hype gets overstated and he only sends two songs top 10. For instance I know it's not a lead single from him, but Family Ties barely went top 20.
