05/15/202205/15/2022 The new album’s release date of May 6 was announced on May 2 via an Instgram post, after Bad Bunny had teased hints about the project for months. Also in the Billboard 200’s new top 10, Jack Harlow scores his highest-charting album yet as Come Home the Kids Miss You debuts at No. 3, Arcade Fire claims its fifth top 10 with We and Eslabon Armado reaches the top 10 for the first time with the No. 9 debut of Nostalgia. With both Un Verano Sin Ti and Nostalgia all-Spanish-language albums, this marks the first time that two all-Spanish albums have placed in the top 10 simultaneously. Further, Un Verano Sin Ti is the first regional Mexican album to reach the top 10. The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. The new May 21, 2022-dated chart will be posted in full on Billboard‘s website on May 17. For all chart news, follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram. Of Un Verano Sin Ti’s 274,000 equivalent album units earned, SEA units comprise 261,000 (equating to 356.55 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 23 tracks), album sales comprise 12,000 and TEA units comprise 1,000. Un Verano Sin Ti logs the largest week, by equivalent album units, for any album since Adele’s 30 earned 288,000 units in the week ending Dec. 2, 2021 (the album’s second week), and the biggest debut for an album since 30 debuted with 839,000 a week earlier. Un Verano Sin Ti had a blockbuster streaming debut, as the album bows with 261,000 SEA units – totaling 356.66 million on-demand official streams for its songs in its first week. That’s the largest streaming week ever for a Latin album, the biggest streaming week of 2022 for any album of any genre, and the biggest streaming week for any album since Drake’s Certified Lover Boy debuted with 743.67 million on-demand official streams on the chart dated Sept. 18, 2021. In total, Un Verano Sin Ti is Bad Bunny’s seventh charting album on the Billboard 200 and fifth top 10. At No. 2 on the Billboard 200 is Future’s I Never Liked You, which falls from No. 1 in its second week with 116,000 equivalent album units earned (down 47%). Jack Harlow clocks his highest charting album yet on the Billboard 200, as his new studio set Come Home the Kids Miss You bows at No. 3. The album earned 113,000 equivalent album units, of which SEA units comprise 103,000 (equaling 137.05 million on-demand official streams for set’s songs), album sales comprise 8,000 and TEA units comprise 2,000. Come Home is Harlow’s second top 10 album, following the No. 5-peaking Thats What They All Say in 2020. Come Home was led by the hit single “First Class,” which gave Harlow his second No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, and his first unaccompanied by another act. (His first leader was “Industry Baby,” a co-billed collaboration with Lil Nas X, in 2021.) Morgan Wallen’s former No. 1 Dangerous: The Double Album falls 3-4 with 53,000 equivalent album units earned (up 6%) and Olivia Rodrigo’s chart-topping Sour is a non-mover at No. 5 with 32,000 units (down 6%). Rock band Arcade Fire collects its fifth top 10 album on the Billboard 200 as We debuts at No. 6. The set starts with nearly 32,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 26,500 (making it the top-selling album of the week), SEA units comprise 5,000 (equaling 6.43 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs) and TEA units comprise 500. Lil Durk’s former leader 7220 falls 6-7 with 31,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%), and the chart-topping Encanto soundtrack dips 7-8 with 30,000 units (down 8%). Eslabon Armado lands its first top 10 album on the Billboard 200 as Nostalgia debuts at No. 9 with 29,500 equivalent album units earned. The all-Spanish-language album is also the first top 10-charting regional Mexican album ever on the Billboard 200. (Regional Mexican albums are defined as those that have hit Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart.) Nearly all of the set’s starting sum was driven by SEA units — 29,000, equaling 42.82 million on-demand official streams of the album’s 14 songs. The band has been making waves on the Billboard charts for the past few years, scoring four consecutive No. 1s on Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart (the entirety of the act’s charting efforts). All four of those also reached the top 10 on the all-Latin genre Top Latin Albums chart, with 2020’s Vibras de Noche hitting No. 1. The latter album was the only top 40-charting effort for the band on the all-genre Billboard 200 until this week. Rounding out the Billboard 200’s top 10, Drake’s former leader Certified Lover Boy dips 9-10 with 28,000 equivalent album units (down 5%). Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes an exhaustive and thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. I guess some of the Dawn FM vinyls shipped in this tracking week too, considering the #5 ranking on the vinyls chart and only a drop to #21 on the 200. It should probably drop out of the Top 50 next week with the vinyls being negligible.

Thanks, Gary.
Biggest dropper on the 200 this week is Kehlani's Blue Water Road, down 113 spots to No. 126. two titles that debuted in last week's top 20 drop off the chart- Grateful Dead's latest Dave's Picks entry, from No. 13, and Rammstein's Zeit, from No. 15.
Also of note- the No. 10 entry on top Album Sales - Sharon Van Etten's We've Been Going About This All Wrong - misses the Billboard 200.

Eslabon Armado’s ‘Nostalgia’ Makes Historic Debut on Billboard’s Album Charts: ‘It’s Truly a Blessing’ The set becomes the first top 10-charting regional Mexican album ever on the all-genre Billboard 200.

Unique Nicole/Getty Images The regional Mexican genre continues to sweep across the Billboard charts. The latest example of the genre’s strides on the charts comes from Eslabon Armado‘s fifth studio album Nostalgia, as it storms in at No. 1 on the Regional Mexican Albums chart, plus top 10 on the Top Latin Albums and all-genre Billboard 200 charts (all dated May 21).
The California-based group — brothers Brian and Pedro Tovar (18 and 19, respectively), Ulises Gonzalez (20) and Damian Fidel Pacheco (20) — arrives at a new career achievement, scoring the first top 10-charting regional Mexican album ever on the Billboard 200. (Regional Mexican albums are defined as those that have hit Billboard’s Regional Mexican Albums chart.) Debuting at No. 9, Nostalgia bests the group’s previous three entries there, including a top 20 appearance (Vibras de Noche, No. 18, August 2020).
“We never expected to debut so high, it’s truly a blessing,” Pedro Tovar tells Billboard. “We hope this becomes our best project; we really love it.”
Further, Eslabon is the first group to score a top 10 with a Latin album on the Billboard 200 since Santana’s Africa Speaks arrived and peaked at No. 3 in June 2019.
Over on the Latin charts, Nostalgia, released May 6 via DEL Records, starts at No. 1 on Regional Mexican Albums with 29,500 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. in the week ending May 12, according to Luminate. The chart ranks the most popular regional Mexican albums of the week in the U.S. based on multimetric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, comprising album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.
Biggest Streaming Week for a Regional Mexican Album: Nearly all of Nostalgia’s starting sum was driven by SEA units, which equates to 42.82 million on-demand official streams of the album’s 14 songs. That’s the biggest streaming week for a regional Mexican album.
The set’s arrival at the summit of Regional Mexican Albums marks the group’s fifth consecutive No. 1 — the entirety of its charting efforts. The act previously topped the chart, which launched in 1985, with Tu Veneno Mortal, Vol. 2 (No. 1 for three weeks), Corta Venas (54 weeks), Vibras de Noche (11) and Tu Veneno Mortal (eight). Corta Venas continues to have the third-most weeks at No. 1 on the chart, behind Christian Nodal’s Me Dejé Llevar (73 weeks) and Selena’s Amor Prohibido (97).
“The most challenging aspect of the creative process of the album was putting everything together, the guitars, the bass, the vocals,” Tovar continues. “Putting it all together with new band members made the magic.”
Notably, all five albums still rank solidly on Regional Mexican Albums, all in the top 10 except for Vibras de Noche which dips 15-19 on the current tally.
Nostalgia concurrently debuts at No. 2 on Top Latin Albums, the band’s best start, in terms of rank, since Vibras de Noche arrived at No. 1 with 23,000 equivalent album units in August 2020. The former arrives in the runner-up slot behind Bad Bunny’s monster start of 274,000 units with Un Verano Sin Ti.
As Nostalgia arrives, nine of its songs dot the all-metric Hot Latin Songs chart. Here’s a recap:
No. 27, “Si Supieras” with DannyLux No. 28, “Dos Morritas,” with Junior H No. 31, “Vete a la Fregada” No. 32, ‘Modo Depre :(” No. 35, “Hasta La Muerte,” with Iván Cornejo No. 38, “La Perrie,” with Fuerza Regida No. 39, “Luces Rojas” No. 42, “Mente en Alto” No. 43, “Solo,” with Erre

Sharon Van Etten hits the top 10 of Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart (dated May 21) for the first time with her new album, We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong. The set debuts at No. 10 on the latest ranking, selling 5,500 copies in the U.S. in the week ending May 12, according to Luminate. The album also bows in the top 10 on Billboard’s Americana/Folk Albums, Tastemaker Albums, Vinyl Albums and Top Current Album Sales charts. We’ve Been Going About This All Wrong is Van Etten’s sixth album and first since Remind Me Tomorrow, which was released in 2019. Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units. For all chart news, follow billboard and billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram. Americana/Folk Albums lists the week’s most popular Americana/folk releases, ranked by equivalent album units. Tastemaker Albums ranks the best-selling albums at independent and small chain record stores. Vinyl Albums lists the top-selling vinyl albums of the week across all sellers. Top Current Album Sales ranks the week’s biggest-selling current albums (not including catalog – older – releases). Also in the new top 10 on Top Album Sales, Arcade Fire scores its fourth No. 1 as We debuts atop the tally with 26,500 sold. The album is one of seven debuts in the top 10. Also starting in the region are Halestorm’s Back From the Dead (No. 2; 14,000), Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti (No. 3; 11,500), Thrive Worship’s Pour Your Spirit Out: A Live Album (No. 4; 9,000), Jack Harlow’s Come Home the Kids Miss You (No. 5; 8,000), Three Days Grace’s Explosions (No. 6; 7,000). A trio of holdover titles populate the top 10, as Miranda Lambert’s Palomino trots from No. 2 to No. 7 in its second week (7,000; down 72%), Olivia Rodrigo’s chart-topping Sour falls from No. 6 to No. 8 (6,500; down 7%), and The Weeknd’s former leader Dawn FM drops from No. 1 to No. 9 (5,500; down 88%). In the week ending May 12, there were 1.697 million albums sold in the U.S. (down 7.1% compared to the previous week). Of that sum, physical albums (CDs, vinyl LPs, cassettes, etc.) comprised 1.284 million (down 9.6%) and digital albums comprised 413,000 (up 1.6%). There were 623,000 CD albums sold in the week ending May 12 (down 7% week-over-week) and 653,000 vinyl albums sold (down 11.6%). Year-to-date CD album sales stand at 11.991 million (down 12.2% compared to the same time frame a year ago) and year-to-date vinyl album sales total 14.056 million (up 4.2%). Overall year-to-date album sales total 33.911 million (down 7.8% compared to the same year-to-date time frame a year ago). Year-to-date physical album sales stand at 26.224 million (down 3.9%) and digital album sales total 7.687 million (down 19.1%).
