Yeah if this song is gonna want a crack at #1 it is gonna have to wait out Bailey Zimmerman especially as "Rock And A Hard Place" is red hot and along with Morgan Wallen's latest and to a slightly lesser extent Luke Combs are also gonna be slow falling on radio (Morgan and Bailey make up the Top 2 on Monday Morning Intel callout scores while Combs is at #6).
I get the feeling Big Machine is gonna rush this if Carly Pearce is the next one to host CCUSA after Luke Combs as Wallen is pushing until March 6th (so look for a third week at #1 on Billboard and a second one for Mediabase) and after that will be Combs and if Pearce pushes right after Luke Combs she is gonna get blocked by Bailey Zimmerman, I guarantee it.

Carly will be co-hosting CCUSA on March 18/19, so her push week will start then. I'm not sure if BB will be in the cards, but I do think that she has a chance at Mediabase if Big Machine starts to get good conversions over the upcoming weeks.
Probably wanted her push week to corelate with the week that her live album drops.

I think Lainey is in way more trouble than Carly is to get to number one with that date...unless she's going to wait till after Carly goes.

Lainey Wilson is after Carly Pearce she co-hosts CCUSA on March 25/26 so she should push after "What He Didn't Do"

She’ll be performing a new song on the CMT awards on April 2nd. Most likely the lead from CP4. I imagine it will be released on March 31st, just ahead of them.
Really hope they give WHDD a big push next week to at least try to secure #1 on Mediabase.

Max spins beginning tomorrow (3/17) through 3/26.
I think it’ll get to #1 on Mediabase, but Billboard will be tough with Bailey having such a strong lead. If it goes #1, it’ll be the first solo female song since Lainey Wilson’s “Things A Man Oughta Know” (Sept. 2021) to do so.

It would be a travesty if this is a MB-only #1 hit, but at this point I think that's gonna be the case. :/

So the gap between this and "Rock and A Hard Place" is 7472k in audience on Billboard, so this song would have to gain close to 1.1 million in audience a day to catch up on Billboard (assuming Bailey Zimmerman himself doesn't move much). Safe to say odds are not in this songs favor.
That being said regardless of this song hitting #1 on Billboard, Mediabase, etc. It has still been a really successful song for Carly Pearce.

I think this probably peaks at #3 on BB and hopefully #1 on Mediabase. If the bottom falls out of Comb's song it might could get to #2 on BB, but I'm not sure.

I love how successful "What He Didn't Do" has been and it's a shame it looks like it might miss the #1 on Billboard when so few female artists hit #1 to begin with. Peaking at the same time as/slightly later than three huge songs (Morgan Wallen/Luke Combs/Bailey Zimmerman) is unlucky timing for this song. Before I saw that her team was maxing it this week, I thought they were going to wait out Bailey and Lainey since there's a sizable gap between her and Parker but I guess not.
On the bright side, this is actually Carly's first back-to-back top 5/10 on country radio (and looking to be the first back-to-back MB #1) if I remember correctly.

What's ironic is that this will be her most successful song (behind Happy Now) yet will be delegated to a Mediabase only #1, with most likely a #2 Billboard peak (if Combs continues to drop like he did today.)
Really hoping she can peak within the top 40 on the hot 100 with this.

Really hoping she can peak within the top 40 on the hot 100 with this. Unfortunately, I don't think she will due to the over-saturation of Morgan Wallen songs from his latest album. She fell from 54 all the back to 79 last week and even with some of his album cuts likely dipping back below this, I would be shocked to see this one move up a whole 39 positions. :/ Bad timing all around for the final push of this one, sadly.

It’s the truth but it’s so ridiculous that no matter when a female is nearing the top, it’s always “bad timing” because there are 4 of 5 male songs that are getting played more and “bigger hits.” And it will continue to be the way when country radio literally plays 20-25 male songs for every one female song.

Also Carly Pearce and Lainey Wilson are technically indie artists (as in not in the big three major record labels), which might hurt them in these moments as the top male songs surrounding them are from major record labels (Morgan Wallen is partly promoted by Republic, Luke Combs partly from Sony, Bailey Zimmerman from Warner).

Would have loved a BB #1 but the song is still successful regardless and did very well. Hoping this has some longevity on country radio once it's done being promoted Sunday.

Based on final predictions, “What He Didn’t Do” is predicted to peak around #36 on the Billboard Hot 100 becoming Carly’s first solo song to do so (2nd overall).

I am surprised it was able to rebound that hard. I really didn't expect it to reach top 40 there. I'll be so happy to see that happen!

While it misses the Top 10 Billboard Country songs by one (UGH), it officially gets Carly her first Top 40 charting song as a soloist!

I feel like a top 40 peak on the Hot 100 is more special than a top 10 peak on the Hot Country Songs chart anyway! Plus, it reached #1 on MB so it reached the penthouse on a chart.

Her biggest solo hit of her career. And second biggest song. The perfect way to wrap up this era.

Yeah having this era end on the biggest hit of the era, a Top 40 on the Hot 100, already certified Gold single, is still a net positive overall despite coming up short on Country Airplay. Happy this song is still considered a #1 (Mediabase) and has seen all the success it deserves.
Now let's bring on the lead single for her next album asap.

I don't listen to country and I know this song so it makes sense it reached Top 40.
It seems like she is slaying this era and it also makes it a perfect revenge story. She won a grammy!

Didn't know if this would warrant starting a new thread, but it looks like the lead single from the next album might be a feature with a male artist.
