Where in the fucking fuck has he been for the last 22 years? This didn't just happen all of a sudden on one day. The industry was too slow to act when illegal downloading was happening on the file sharing programs and was not really open to embracing legal paid downloads. Then when streaming happened, they didn't see the potential in it and then these super low rates that are paid to the artists/publishers/etc. happened and then people running these streaming services and the labels are the ones making much more. And they really are not in a position where they can afford to not embrace streaming now because digital downloading is less popular now and whatever income that does come in is from streaming only. But I can see why many are so unhappy with the really low dollar amounts they get per stream.

For new artists, I agree, I don't see how most can make a living when you aren't selling albums. But for Roger Daltrey, waa waa. He got paid for the original vinyl recordings, then he got paid again when folks upgraded to 8 tracks and cassettes. He got paid a 3rd time when people bought those same albums on CD. So anything he get$ today from downloads and streams is just gravy.
