Oh my poor Indie finally gives The Wilkinson’s a good listen, comes away finding stuff he likes only for us all to trample on his taste 🥲
For me much like our host I love almost all of these so the lower rankings aren’t to be looked at as a condemnation of those songs…except “You Heal Me” that one never clicks with me lol
Biggest shock for me right now is seeing “Little Girl” that low, I don’t quite understand that.
I had figured “Highway” was going to go low but I’m glad it got some love from Tim as it is a really great song.
“Papa Come Quick” is such a fun single I’m looking at my ranking and I feel like I could’ve boosted it a bit!

"Closets" is a jam. I found the lyrics to be pretty fun as well.
The reveal was going well for a while, but with the two consecutive top 10 losses, I'm getting a little worried now.

it's a little late here so I'm gonna be back tomorrow with some more reveals, hopefully more of you will be around to comment. We are getting closer to the top 10! Any predictions on what could be leaving next? I will say it is one of the most polarizing songs...

“Closets” is a lot of fun, I had already been familiar with Georgia Middleman’s version and may slightly prefer hers thus my lower ranking here.
“Jester” I love the melody, mood and production all separately but something has always felt like it could’ve went somewhere more. It’s somehow missing a payoff for me.

So before I reveal the #15 song I want to say that I think "Jimmy's Got A Girlfriend" left too soon. I wish it had at least made the Top 15. There is one song I wish had been eliminated already only because I love some of these other songs more that have just been eliminated.
#15 will come from an album that lost a song within the last 5 reveals...

I am so sad about “Jimmys Got a Girlfriend” being out this early, I have always loved it and thought it was great fun. It’s random, sure, but it’s so catchy and I love the production!!

Surprised to see the exit of "Jimmy's Got A Girlfriend" at this point, I thought this had more fans. I do like this song, especially the verse melody and lyrics, but the chorus definitely has the room for improvement.

That laundromat video for "I Wanna Be That Girl" was campy enough to be iconic  I thought I would dislike it because of the cheesiness, but it definitely won me over pretty quickly! Sorry I haven't been around to comment more; I'll try to do better with the top 10! |
