I am really anticipating this. I have loved, for one reason or another, every Beyonce album. I will probably always consider self-titled her magnum opus (because it is), but she doesn't make bad albums. Break My Soul REALLY grew on me. It's the song of the summer, for me.

The original 10 track version of B'Day is flaw free. Just a ridiculously fun and in your face album. It's nice to see artists giving it flowers lately (Ella Mai, Lizzo).

I really like when artists release an album with all new material (with maybe only one song released as preview), it's so much better than listening to an album where half of the songs are already available as singles.
Can't wait for the 29th.

"Plastic off the Sofa" sounds like messy kinky sex lol to me it sounds like a nod to parents/families who keep a plastic cover on their sofa to keep it clean and in good condition longer. I'm expecting this one to have a "you've made it, take the plastic cover off now" type of empowering vibe, in line with the "BREAK MY SOUL" messaging. queen of relatability! |
