"Beautiful Liar" is a song that I thought was underbaked but has good bones and that video is a good example of how to take it over the top.
Instead of MIDI horns, it needs live instruments, more belting and harmony from Bey and Shakira, a key change, some DRAMA to sell the story of double-crossing the cheating liar.

A couple weeks late, but Ivy Park’s sales performance fell more than 50% last year, was way below revenue projections. I wonder if this will motivate her to re-evaluate her current branding strategy at all. Selling lifestyle products is a completely different ballgame than selling concert tickets, especially for Gen-Z consumers.

It’s super super frustrating for fans. I’m afraid she’s just waited too long at this point if she plans to release visuals. What’s the point? Unless there is some crazy newfangled master plan, none of this makes sense. My other theory is that she had her injury which prevented her from finishing everything as she wanted which would be somewhat understandable.
Part of me thinks we will be getting more of a doc about making the album over Covid, the release, her injury, her rehabilitation to put on the show in Dubai leading up to the tour with segments of the visuals included.

It was a massive failure - underperforming by 200 million in 2022 alone. I don’t get how an athleisure brand makes sense coming from her anyway.

I'm still holding out hope that visuals and/or Act II will drop before tour or before the US leg. 🤞🏽 Would definitely be ecstatic about a documentary as well. Regarding IVY PARK, I am not understanding how they expected to bring in more revenue when their drops sell out in 10 mins & they are not frequent enough. Beyoncé herself isn't wearing any of it to promote in real life -- not a performance, interview, or even and outing in any IVY PARK looks. It never managed to become a self-sustaining venture and remained stuck in the "Beyoncé merch" tier. |
