I just realized that I think if RUTH hits #1 it would be the longest trip ever to hit the top spot taking 37 years to do so. Unless RATCT finally beats AIWFCIY during christmas, Kate is going to have this record for a minute (unless there’s another song that has done this already and i missed it).

What was Mariah's? "Big Energy"? I'm still confused by that one, because everyone here always said that the song was driven by radio over everything else, and the radio updates started billing Mariah (and Khaled) but Billboard never did. Maybe radio being the biggest metric for the song didn't translate to 50%+ of the numbers (or whatever the rule is), but then maybe the acts on the biggest metric could stand to be the ones credited? Meh, that would probably lead to a lot of inconsistent crediting, a la "Perfect".

In hindsight, Mariah should have been credited for Big Energy. In my opinion, Mariah had more impact on the success of this song than Beyoncé did with Perfect. Before the Mariah remix, this song couldn’t buy a week in the Top 10. After the remix, this song spent 3 straight months in the Top 10. Don’t forget that Perfect was already #3 on the charts before the Beyoncé duet. (It was going to #1 anyway even if there was no duet version.) If Beyoncé got the credit for Perfect, then I believe that Mariah should be credited for Big Energy.
