Just finished the album... and it's not as good as I was hoping it would be.
The singles aren't reflective of the rest of the tracks and that's a shame. There's 2-3 80s sounding songs which sound good in a vacuum, but sound like they're part of a different album. Then there's the more 'disco' stuff which I have zero time for after the last album. Hold On To Now and Story are great.
It's not bad by any means, but a bit of a missed opportunity overall imo.

I love this new album! I can't stop listening to "Things We Do for Love" and "Vegas High."

After "Padam Padam" and "Tension," I was hoping the album would be a little more twisted, but it's a pretty straight-forward listen for the most part. Very solid front to back, not a bum note to be found and a lot of nice choruses. Even the mid-af "10 Out Of 10" gets a little more charming in context, still kinda bewildered she threw it on the album though. Outside of PP and the title track, "Hold On To Now" is such a lovely moment. "Hands" is so ridiculous it absolutely should not work, but it kills somehow. "Green Light" had me at the sax solo. "Story" is another standout, love the chorus. I see "Love Train" is getting a mixed reaction from fans online, but it's definitely my favorite deluxe track. It's goofy and stupid (a la "Mr. President" from Kiss Me Once), but that's exactly why I love it.
Still can't believe she's serving quality pop music like this in her fifth decade as an artist. Like how?

Admittedly, "Padam Padam", "Tension" and even "10 Out of 10" are not representative of the album. The album borderlines on generic at times which knocks it down a little bit for me but overall I quite enjoyed it. I still think that "Padam Padam" and the title track are my favorite though.

Album is a perfect 10 for me. No skips. 'Vegas High' is definitely a standout. I like that 'One More Time' almost feels like an extension of 'Tension'. 'Hands' kinda threw me, lol; can we get a Lizzo or someone similar feature on a remix? That would be fun.
It's just pop euphoria. I can see why the deluxe tracks were not on the original, but they're still great.

This is probably my favorite album of hers since Aphrodite. (And I loved Disco)
Not a bad song to be found! I agree even the meh “10 Out of 10” fits in a little better here. I love that there are a lot of really fun songs without it being totally devoid of emotion. She sounds fantastic throughout, too.
My favorites after a couple listens: Things We Do for Love You Still Get Me High Story Somebody to Love Hold On to Now

She delivered the album of the year for me. Every track is interesting and a winner. I love the songs as a collection, the production is immaculate, the vocals are top-notch and the melodies are pure bliss. Honestly, her best album overall as a listen - or at least on par with Fever.

I thought I was going to like this album more. I’ve only skimmed it a couple of times, but besides for “Padam Padam and Tension” I think I’m only really into “Hands” and maybe “One More Time” as of now. I added most of it and will definitely go back to it, but as of now those are my four favorite tracks. “Tension” is my absolute favorite if I had to pick one.

Sold 31k in one day in the UK, excluding streaming and her London pop-up shop. More than the rest of the top 40 combined. Going to blow Disco's sales out of the water.
Also, can we talk about what a truly great vocalist she is? It's showcased on this album.

I listened to this album this morning while I was working out. As a whole, it is very pleasant listen. But I do not think that I will listen to it (much/again). Besides Padam, my favorite is Hold on to now.

Very cute album! My first full-length Kylie album and I had fun! I like her voice too! I feel like Hands and Green Light would be good singles for her in the U.S. Very TikTok friendly, but fuck the U.S. I give the album a solid B+
1. Padam Padam 2. Tension 3. You Still Get Me High (I was sooo hoping it stayed in the Crazy For You space and then it just amped up and I was like...oh...still a fucking killer song though.) 4. Hands (Whoaaaa...What a vibe!) 5. Green Light (That sax is HEAVENLY.) 6. Things We Do For Love 7. Hold On To Now 8. Story 9. Vegas High 10. 10 Out of 10 11. One More Time

Listened to the album this evening. It's a very good album, but it doesn't top Disco for me. Disco just feels more special to me. I do agree with the other person that the album does sound a bit generic at times, but these are my fave tracks so far besides "Padam Padam" and "Tension":
Hands Green Light (love that they included the saxophone, I'm very big on songs with a jazzy production) Vegas High Love Train 10/10

I listened to the album and it's really good. It's actually really, REALLY good. I'm so happy as a Kylie fan. 😃 I'll agree with Lucy that it doesn't top Disco for me - that album is fantastic and like the true sequel to Fever for me, plus it has zero skips - but saying that I didn't find any skips on Tension, either, so I could see myself with even more listens growing to loving this album as much as Disco. This album is such a good listen... pop amazingness after pop amazingness.
Besides PP and the title track, my instant faves are (again, almost the same as Lucy's; high five, sis! 😁)
Hands Green Light Vegas High 10/10 Somebody To Love
I think if Kylie was younger/at another stage in her career and the industry was in a different state, she could go SEVERAL singles deep with this album.

i enjoyed Vegas High, but was expecting a bit more from the album, more along the lines of the lead single.

Kylie just dropped a Bonus Deluxe Edition (digital exclusive) of the album on her website with two additional tracks, "Drum" and "Heavenly Body". They are both incredible.
Also, how was this left off the album?

I’ve been a fan for a long time but to me she was always more of a singles artist. This album though. Barely any skips. It’s been on repeat since release day! The first 6 songs are pop perfection.
Please tour this album Kylie!

Debuts at #1 in Australia! Becomes her 7th studio album to top the ARIA albums chart, and her 8th #1 overall (the Step Back In Time compilation from 2019 also topped the chart).

It’s a solid album, even if there is generic material. As much as I love Padam Padam, even that could be considered pretty generic. But this is about on par with what I hoped and wanted. No complaints :)

My sister put on the album while we were working yesterday and I like what I hear and look forward to hearing it in HQ thru good headphones.
(Yes, I'm traveling and wasn't able to listen to the album Day 1 like I hoped, but my pre-order shipped so it counts for 1st week sales).
I don't think it's on purpose but it feels like her BMG albums have been chronologically stepping through musical sounds from Golden to DISCO to now Tension. This is her early 80s album and I'm here for it. Who knows? Maybe she'll actually record SAW-inspired material for her next album to come full circle.

When do we find out what it's tracking for in the USA? HDD has it at #20 with just over 24k SPS. If it holds on Billboard it’ll be her first top 20 album since Aphrodite!

"Love Train" is the song that's been getting stuck in my head the most.
