Rounding out the bottom 5, we say goodbye to our first single! "I'm Not Gonna Do Anything Without You" was also the first single from this album to leave in the singles rankdown (also coincidentally the final member of the bottom 5 there as well!), as it was #11 out of 15. This song was nearly a top 30 hit, peaking at #31 for both her and Mark Wills in 2002.
I still think this song has a really easy-listening vibe to it. It doesn't have anything that makes it specifically great to me, but it is still pleasant enough to be one I would never skip or anything.

And no, I wouldn't have been able to save "To Be With You" from last place cuz I love"I'm Still Waiting" too so I would have just lost two high ranked songs back to back making me even more happy I didn't subject myself to the torture lol.

The unlucky first #1 loss is courtesy of nathanalbright this time, as he made the bold move of putting an album track at #1 on an album where the singles are obviously expected to dominate. "No More Protecting My Heart" was not a slouch, though! It nearly made the top half, and actually managed to occupy the #1 position twice throughout the submissions! As far as random album track #1s go, this performance isn't one to be too upset about! The piano in the intro for this one is insanely memorable, and sets the tone for just how catchy the melody is going to be once it gets started.

"Where We Belong" is one of my random favorite Jamie O'Neal songs I could honestly see someone finding it boring at the very beginning for about the first 30 seconds...but once that pre-chorus "Can I see my world without you in it? Baby, not for a single minute" kicks in, this song starts hitting HARD! That chorus is insanely catchy for a power-ballad. The entire "the sun would burn out before I'd ever lose you" moment is one of my favorite deliveries of Jamie's entire career, and honestly the line that gets stuck in my head from this song more than anything else. And as if it couldn't be any more perfect, there's an epic key change!! YES!!! This song may not check everyone's boxes the way that it does for me, so I am thrilled with this final placement Nearly top 6 against four remaining singles is pretty damn good!

Another super catchy uptempo album track, that happens to be from the same writing team who gave us "When I Think About Angels", "You Rescued Me" is our final track to miss the top 5, which also makes it our second highest album track!
If we end up doing an album tracks rankdown for Jamie, "She Hasn't Heard It Yet", "You Rescued Me", "Where We Belong", and "No More Protecting My Heart" will be in it for sure ;) In case anyone feels hyped by that knowledge, lmao.

Why is it that it feels like the first three reveals happened ages ago, when it’s only been two days? Anyways, the last couple of songs revealed were so lovely. Glad they held on enough to make the album tracks rankdown, should one happen in the future.

Absolutely loved rediscovering "Where We Belong". I didn't have high expectations for it myself, but I'm glad to see it make it just shy of the top 5.
Also, this likely isn't a song younger me would've connected with back when the album was released which makes me appreciate it all that much more.

I'm come to enjoy the title track more over the years, but even so I don't have much recollection of hearing it much on the radio back then. That likely is due in part to the recurrent airplay the albums first two singles received.

One of the remaining singles (and the title track!) bows out next, making it one position higher than it did in the singles rankdown! I consider "Shiver" to be one of her most underrated hits, as I feel like it doesn't get nearly as much attention as her small handful of bigger hits, but the more I have listened to it since her singles rankdown the more I have loved it That steel guitar is especially beautiful. Kanenrá:ke is the second person to lose their #1, while nathanalbright FINALLY is the last person to lose their last place...

I'm not kidding when I say I initially had "Frantic" down in my bottom 2. For whatever reason, this song just didn't click with me when I went back to revisit the album for this rankdown and I found myself continuing to want to skip over it. Maybe I was just in a particular mood in those early moments, but when I came back around again to finalize my list the song found its way a bit higher.

Just like the singles rankdown, "Frantic" manages to outlast "Shiver" by one position. However, this was a MUCH stronger contender overall, because while the title track climbed for most of the rankdown, "Frantic" was in the top 4 for basically the entire time.
This song is the shortest on the album, and it has the breakneck arrangement to justify its brevity! There is so much talented musicianship on this recording, especially from the fiddle player. It truly embodies the feeling of being frantic, and honestly could not be more perfect in that regard lol.

When I Think About Angels grew on me since the single RD, so I ended up ranking it higher than Shiver, which was ranked far above Angels in the other RD. Glad it made the top 3, but I hope my #1 is #1 here as well. As for the other reveals, it was disappointing to see some of my fav album tracks (Sanctuary and I'm Not Gonna Do Anything Without You) leaving so early.

As catchy as this song is, this album is just so strong overall that this is one I tend to revisit the least for whatever reason... Still an objectively good song, but not really one of my faves, at least relative to her own career.

If you're feeling anxious this song definitely isn't one I'd recommend listening to .

Look at "She Hasn't Heard It Yet" holding its own so well among the singles! Not only did this song manage to beat 3/5 of the singles, but it is a full 12 points ahead of "Frantic" I am LOVING this performance! This is another one of my random favorites from Jamie's album track collection, and I have always found it to be one of the most interesting songs on this album. The powerful lyrics about someone who is in denial about their partner pulling away over time are not a new theme in country, but the way they are written here combined with Jamie's delivery makes this one of my favorite uses of this theme. Definitely happy to see it be the highest album track!
