Wondering if this can return to #1 on pop airplay charts and mediabase as well.

Never imagined this song would be so massive. Still gaining at Urban too.

This song has such a low burn rate for me. It still sounds so fresh and catchy almost a year later.

It’s a smash. Wonder if it can keep this up until summer ends.

Unbelievable. When will this incredible chart run end? It’s actually gaining spins again? It will pass Barbie girl soon to hit the top 5 in mediabase

Well, in its 61st week, this song moves down to #10, so it's almost out of there. Barring a new recurrent rule (which, personally, I don't think is a bad idea), the song will be a cinch to beat the record, currently held by Harry Styles "As It Was", and might even hit 70 weeks, especially if it bounces around near the #15 recurrent threshold, like the Harry Styles song did.
Yes, I realize that many people like the song, but enough is enough. This song seriously needs to go poof.
(OK, I'm done with my rant. I'll "Calm Down" now...)
P.S. On a positive note, at least the Miguel song went recurrent this week. That song had been around forever as well.

Incredible, we start 2024 and in its fourth year chart it jumps up 2 to number to prevent recurrency on the mediabase 24 7 chart. It might move up to number with ‘what are you waiting for’ by Billie Eilish descending. This run is so unprecedented

Wow, what an incredible chart run. It's funny to go back and read the first few pages of this thread where people were worried that "My Mind & Me" was going to outperform this lol.

Calm Down by Rema featuring Selena Gomez does not die and keeps on chugging along. Will break its own record with 70 weeks on the Billboard Mainstream Airplay/Pop Songs Top 40 (March 2, 2024). It is unbelievable it has withstood this dominance in 2022 2023 and 2024.

It is unbelievable it has withstood this dominance in 2022 2023 and 2024. What staying power. This song is still kicking at 71 weeks that was announced yesterday billboard posted chart. Unbelievable run that this song by Rema featuring Selena Gomez is still relevant chart wise in March of 2024 after debuting in November of 2022

I know I'm way late on this, but... 71 weeks was it for the song - the week of March 16, "Calm Down" was finally shipped off to recurrentland. That Billboard Pop Songs Airplay chart REALLY needs a new recurrent rule - such as, removing a song from the chart after 52 weeks once it drops below the Top Ten. This would prevent songs that have been on the chart for over a year from hovering around the #15 spot for months (like "As It Was" and "Calm Down"). Actually, I don't think a 30-week limit for songs below #10 would hurt (as that would stop long-standing songs, though not quite 50+ weeks, from bobbling around between #10 and #15, and would speed the chart up even more). Heck, Mediabase has an even more strict rule than that, dropping songs older than 20 weeks once they leave the Top Ten.
That said, this topic can probably be locked at this point.
