Are there any songs where you feel the sample/interpolation itself is the best part of the song?
For me, "Big Energy" (Latto) and "To the Moon" (Jnr Choi) are defined by the songs they are sampling. The heavy samples of "Genius of Love" and "Talking to the Moon" are what make both of them sound as good as they do, IMO.

This one isn't entirely because of the sample, but the way Jack Harlow plays off of Fergie in First Class is absolutely perfect. He actually has chemistry with her there.
Kodak Black also does this really well with Super Gremiln.

Betty (Get Money) received an incredible sample from Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up". This provided a significant difference to the track, similar to most of Gravy's discography.

The two I want to highlight are Men In Black by Will Smith and Bust A Move by Young MC. These two pop-rap staples wouldn't be half the tracks they are without those amazing samples of Forget-Me-Nots by Patrice Rushen and Found A Child by Ballin' Jack, respectively. They both put all of today's hits falling back on the JR Rotem formula of on-the-nose sampling to shame.

Any song that samples Blue. I believe that Flo Rida's "Sugar" track lightly samples Eiffel 65's "Blue" for it's chorus, made significantly more iconic by the sample provided. - I immediately scavenged the internet to find an answer to the question provided. I actually was not previously familiar with Flo Rida's "Sugar". I, too, appear a relatively big fan of "Blue". |

The sample of Big Mama Thorntonβs version of Hound Dog in Doja Catβs Vegas does a lot for the song in my opinion.
