1. 1989 2. RED 3. Lover 4. Folklore 5. Midnights 6. Reputation (might end up ranking it above Midnights? I know "Gorgeous" exists, but the highs like "Getaway Car" and "Delicate" far surpass my Midnights faves). 7. Speak Now 8. Fearless 9. Evermore 10. Debut

Great/Top Tier 1. 1989 2. Red 3. Speak Now
Good/Decent 4. Lover 5. Reputation 6. Midnights
Average/Meh 7. Fearless 8. Taylor Swift
Not my cup of tea 9. Folklore 10. Evermore
Also, I’d rank the TV albums directly under their original albums.

I haven't thrown my two cents in yet.
Be forewarned that this is purely based off of how much I want to currently revisit these albums, and it is not a representation of how good or technically well-crafted I believe these albums to be.
1. 1989 ("Welcome to New York" is skippable, but the rest of the album constantly creeps back up on me and I find myself revisiting it very often) 2. reputation (this album has aged like fine wine with me with many tracks becoming some of my all-time favorites of hers) 3. Lover (there's lots to cringe at here, but even more to lover with this precursor to Midnights) 4. Speak Now (lots of nostalgia involved with this one, but there are a handful of tracks I just don't find myself ever gravitating towards these days) 5. Red (I used to obsess over this one, but now the singles just sound bleh to me and really it's not one I find myself going back to outside of a few tracks) 6. evermore (because of its darker/moodier themes and tamer production style, I have to be really be in the mood for this one) 7. Fearless (some cute songs here, but honestly, most of them just haven't aged all that well with me) 8. Taylor Swift (if I'm in my nostalgia feels and want to yeehaw a bit, this works, but that's not a common theme with me) 9. folklore (I... don't know what happened here, I just have no interest in revisiting this one anymore, major burnout maybe?)
It's unfair, to me, to rank Midnights as it's way too young still yet to the point that I'm not "revisiting" it, I'm still getting to know it as it's fresh in my current rotation. At this point in time, though, I could see Midnights falling somewhere around Red and Speak Now.
As far as how I think they stand up to each other technically...
1. evermore (just barely edges out folklore because I feel the production is more consistent on this album) 2. folklore (lyrically probably her best album, but it's a bit samey in production, which drags it down a bit) 3. 1989 (stellar pop album, but obviously falls behind the ores in complexity and earnest) 4. Midnights (a bit disjointed in its lyricism, but it excels in production and creativity) 5. Red (has ores-levels of high highs here, but also too many cheesy duds, albeit if guilty pleasures) 6. reputation (extremely consistent with really only two missteps in "Gorgeous" and "TIWWCHNT," but few tracks are particularly incredible like in the albums above it) 7. Speak Now (much like Red, some very high highs here, but not as many, and the vocal performance brings it down a notch as well) 8. Lover (really gets dragged down by being so bloated, unfortunately) 9. Fearless (it's a very solid teen country album, but lacks much of a solid punch in any aspect, but it is cool to hear the inklings of what Taylor would become) 10. Taylor Swift (up until the ores, this was her most consistent album, with all of the tracks just being "hey, this is cute" and it's not bad, just pales in comparison to everything else)

I am ecstatic! With the additional verified fans opportunity I managed to snag two good tickets at $200 each. Since Taylor has so many verified fans this should be how it is for all her tours. I can't express how much better this experience was compared to the rat race in early November.

My friend who had signed up for her New Jersey show was able to get two tickets in the 100's for just over $200/each with the second chance offer. He's offered me one. I was waiting for a Toronto date but might as well make a trip out of it / might still see her again in Toronto whenever she comes.

I got an aisle ticket in the first 10 rows on the floor for Glendale night 2. I'm so fucking happy. I really didn't think I'd get a ticket with this second chance.

Taylor is performing at Jack’s concert tonight according to a friend working the event. I’m devastated because I wanted to get a ticket ages ago but can never get work coverage on Monday nights. 😫 Well, what happened?

I am not an expert on Taylor Swift, but I am astonished at some of these rankings. I thought Reputation was widely regarded as her worst album in most critical circles? Is it actually a fan favorite?

It is. Among her fan base it’s WIDELY regarded as one of her best albums, and aesthetically as her best era by a country mile.

Perfect 1. Speak Now 2. Red 3. Folklore 4. Evermore
Great 5. Midnights
6. 1989
Decent 7. Fearless 8. Taylor Swift 9. reputation
She has no bad albums, but I'd be a liar if I said I use more than 50% of my bottom 3 albums.

It is. Among her fan base it’s WIDELY regarded as one of her best albums, and aesthetically as her best era by a country mile. Reputation was the first album she seemed to just EMBRACE an aesthetic. And I felt it was the first album she could “let loose” with. She could cuss, be bad, tell it like it is, but also had some introspection. Superb: Reputation 1989 Great: Midnights Red Folklore Good: Evermore Fearless Speak Now Ok: Lover Taylor Swift

A ranking is honestly next to impossible to do. But here I go anyway.
1. Midnights 2. Folklore 3. Reputation 4. 1989 5. Evermore 6. Lover 7. Red (TV) (Hot take: only ranked this high because of ATW10 and the TV era…ATW10 would still be her #1 ranked song to me but the album as a whole doesn’t stand up to its greatness)
8. Speak Now 9. Fearless 10. TS
Basically, my favorite versions of Taylor alternate between the synthy pop star and the folksy storyteller. I’m not here for the country teen angst. #1 through #4 feel interchangeable…they are all top tier quality.

Just got floor seats in section 13 (!!!) in the Ticketmaster “sorry we f’ed up” sale and I’m bouncing off the walls! To celebrate here’s my ranking:
“About as perfect as an album can be” tier: 1. folklore (tied for my fav album of all time with a few other gems by other artists) 2. evermore 3. Red (TV is superior)
Exceptional albums with a few low points that I still mostly enjoy: 4. Speak Now 5. Midnights 6. Lover 7. reputation
Epic highs and a some songs I don’t care for: 8. Fearless (TV is far superior) 9. 1989 10. Debut
Not a bad album in the bunch. The only ones I almost never revisit as a whole album are 1989 and debut but I still listen to some songs from those albums on occasion.
Hard to rank Midnights so early on but it’s more consistent in quality than her other pop albums. Also more consistent in quality than Speak Now but SN has some of the most incredible songs in her discography and was the album I became a stan. Anticipating the Taylor’s Version to be even better.

Seeing folklore and evermore so low on some of these lists...
Believe it or not, jail. Right away.

I would have put Evermore higher up if it wasn't so similar to its sister album. I love both of the albums however I could have done without having 30-ish songs in the same genre in the same year from Taylor. It was just a bit too much in a short amount of time for me.
