The visuals are so perfectly paired to the songs - I don’t think the setlist is changing except the wild card song or if she doesn’t feel like singing Tim McGraw and does something else from her debut since it was just her and the piano.
It’s possible she drops a song or two late tour like she did “I Know Places” for 1989, but I don’t think full production shake ups are coming. And while some of my favs didn’t make it, nothing needs to change. This is an iconic show.

Gosh that's a long ass show. I'm gonna need to PEE.
Re. set list changes, for a show with this kind of breadth and production I don't see that happening either unless something is just entirely cut/replaced somewhere down the line.

Also born - “The Archer” really worked for me despite how vocal I have been about not liking it. I do think swapping it with “Lover” in the order so “Lover” ended the era packs more punch, but I did feel like “ok wait this slaps a lil bit” for the first time 👀

Now that I watched through all the clips from the show, I think she can pull off a 3-hour show for the entire tour. They space out the tempo well, and the folklore/evermore parts of the show are naturally less demanding.

Serious question, is this set list doable for an entire tour? One night is one thing, but can she really sing that many songs three nights a week? Just curious if she may have over committed and she’ll end up killing her voice or her body halfway through. Can’t believe we got 44 tracks with so many fam favorites and deep cuts. She’s amazing. I doubt it. The rest of the tour will probably have around 30-35 tracks setlist that tops out at around 2 hours. Besides, I highly doubt that she'd be performing ATW 10 Minutes version for every night. Swapping that out alone already cuts down 3 songs worth of time. Maybe if she did shortened mashups she can keep the 40+ track setlist without going too much over 2 hours? Lol she will definitely sing the 10 minute All Too Well at every show.

I have so much to say so I don't promise to be articulate lol. This is such a good day. As a 10+ year (I would say Swiftie but Pulse would annihilate me) massive fan, opening nights are always crazy to experience, even if I'm miles away from where all the good fun is happening! I knew I'd be sleeping during the show so I'd saved the setlist link beforehand to wake up and just let the list of songs hit me in the face all at once. And hell it did. I hope you still think of me as a proper, functioning adult, if/after you decide to open these. {Screaming in Caps-Lock; enter at your own risk (part I: first thoughts)} 44 SONGS????? CHAPTER CONCEPT? DIVIDED BY ERA? I THOUGHT THIS WAS GONNA BE A MIDNIGHTS TOUR WITH A TINY HOMAGE TO FOLKLOVERMORE!!! A THREE HOUR SHOW? MORE THAN TWO SONGS FOR EVERMORE?? {Concept commentary} This is a theme all of us have dreamed through out this year but never thought we'd see happen. It must be insane to experience this on opening night, not knowing what's next, taking in all of the intervals, the rework of some songs, the random journey through the eras. This is a career tour. Not an album tour. {Individual Era Commentary} Intro/Lover: I have already watched the intro more than 5 times today, all from different angles. What a concept! The dramatic synth-strings from "Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince" leading into her singing a short version of the song as an introduction made this such a huge moment. I love when artists do short versions of songs as an interlude and then proceeding to do a full one. And what a 'proper opener' "Cruel Summer" is!!! Arguably the biggest fan favorite for over 3 and a half years, everyone's tuned in for the live debut of this song and I'm glad it was given that spot. The Lover set was nice, chic and great for opening the show (both for its meaning and musically). Fearless: What a youthful energy! I was taken back to 2009 just by watching the videos! Compared to the flashy visual and thematic strengths of the other eras, I don't return to this one very often but I'm sure it will be a highlight if I get to scream "You Belong With Me" along with 50k fans when she brings the tour to Europe. evermore: Amazing that she started this with "'tis the damn season" which is the song that encapsulates evermore for me. The "willow" intro+performance was probably in my top 3 of the entire night. Which isn't easy considering she sang 3 albums' worth of songs. Also, "marjorie" and "tolerate it" were nice moments for songs I didn't think would get their spotlight. And her announcing her love for this album kinda healed my soul. reputation: I was not ready for this visual to lead into "...Ready For It?". Say what you want about it, reputation was made for stadiums. It's crazy how there are almost 20 songs she debuted yesterday, and I still get chills over the same thing I've seen a million times since the Netflix movie dropped. Speak Now: Wow she looks gorgeous. This is how "Enchanted" is always meant to be sung. With a beautiful dress and a purple haze. Like a dream. I would've liked another Speak Now song but I wasn't as "upset" as other fans cause she sang so many different songs and I kinda get it. Red: She really took us back to 2013 with those outfits! To be honest, this set, besides ATW10MV, was the most forgettable for me. I don't see her shortening ATW10MV in this tour btw. She might cut some songs from reputation, 1989 & Red but I think the 10 minute version is safe. It's her favorite/most important song and this is the first tour she does after its release. It's safe. folklore: Okay she loves her Grammy-winning child. Beautiful intro, the folklore hut is back! "my tears ricochet" is gorgeous. I wish she would limit this album into a certain area of the stage and make it more intimate cause walking that huge runway while singing ballads kinda took from the songs. 1989: All I'm gonna say is I thought "Wildest Dreams" would get the extended outro treatment here so I was surprised it was cut down. This section, while fun, was probably more for the casual fans. Surprise song: That's a surprise surprise song. I thought she would open with a fan favorite Spotify-smash deep cut. That was cute! She has so many songs to sing so it's gonna be fun getting a new one everyday. "Treacherous" sounds like a great surprise song to me. And "this is me trying", "Mine", "The Way I Loved You". It'd be fun if she ever does "ME!" lol. Debut: "Tim McGraw" was a very touching 'encore' to the concert, before moving into the final album. A very important bridge from her first song to her newest album. Midnights: Oh she did not come to play. The swimming transition and the beginning of "Lavender Haze" is instantly iconic. "Anti-Hero" was probably the least exciting performance of the act but I think that was the point. No choreography, no theme, just Taylor being herself. The costume change in "Midnight Rain", the sexy "Vigilante Shit" sequence (which also has to be top 3 for me), the "Bejeweled"/"Karma" sparkly explosion of color were an essential climax to this three hour spectacle. But a big winner of the bunch has to be "Mastermind". A song I didn't think she would perform, but she did and elevated it with the graphics and theatrical choreography. She really is a mastermind. {Screaming in Caps-Lock (part II: individual songs edition)} NOT ONLY DID SHE SING THE ARCHER BUT IT HAD AN EXTENDED OUTRO USED IN THE TRANSITION VISUAL? WHICH MEANS SHE PROBABLY WON'T CUT IT FROM THE SETLIST WHEN SHE SHORTENS IT??? TOLERATE IT? IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO NOTICE SHE SANG IT. I AM DECEASED. ENCHANTED GETTING ONLY CHILD TREATMENT {The realistic/negative thoughts} This show is amazing, but maybe I would see it as a one-off instead of a show she has to perform 50/60/80 times? Over 40 songs, three hours with no breaks seems like a lot to handle even for a seasoned A-lister like Taylor. At certain times, she looked reserved and like she wasn't giving it her all, which makes me think it's their strategy to pull this off. They had to sacrifice something if they wanted to put on a three hour show, so they went with more walking instead of full on choreography on every uptempo song. And I'm okay with this, I'm just worried about her health. I hope she doesn't completely wear out in a few months. Another way to save some stamina would be to shorten some performances. Some songs, especially from overperformed albums, could've been shorter, to make this even more engaging and fast-paced for the casual viewers. The verdict: The biggest win today was definitely the appreciation for folklore, evermore & Lover. So many album cuts that I didn't even think she would sing as surprise songs made the standard setlist. She covered quite a big part of her catalog and achieved a great balance of hits and non-hits to keep everyone pleased. I don't get this criticism, she did so many! And also, the era interlude visuals. I am obsessed with these! I hope they don't overtire her just to get a perfect tour. I trust her and her team. She never takes on anything bigger than what she can accomplish. Just big enough. I hope I'll be blessed enough to attend a show.

The tour kinda seems too pre-mature in her career currently? She hasn't even released all the TVs, so I'm confused on why she's doing a career-recap tour right now. I've seen some fans also point out the disappointment because all these albums she's recorded the past few years will never get true tours and real performances for the album-tracks in favor of hits from the old albums being performed for the 1000th time. I think it would've made sense for her to complete all TVs, do the SuperBowl, then do an 'Eras' themed tour afterwards personally. Obviously she can always do another type of Greatest Hits/Career tour down the line and will, but it likely won't be until after this decade at the least and hence it would've made sense after all TVs/SuperBowl. I also was a little confused at her releasing that Lover song + the 3 TVs. It feels a bit disorganized at this point. Why release a 2019 track rather than save it for a Lover 10th anniversary or something? Like a full-on anniversary celebration or re-release down the road similar to TVs? Also why revisit the old TVs when she still has multiple more left to release. Again, why not just save those for an anniversary down the road? It feels a bit like she is over saturating with stuff that is rather unnecessary. I think she's at the point where the SuperBowl won't do enough for her that it should impact her career planning much. But I am a bit surprised she hasn't released any other TVs yet. I would have expected one or two TVs between Red TV and Midnights (say around February to July), and another TV right around now, one this summer, and then maybe Debut last since she's not covering it much during tour anyways.

Why release a 2019 track rather than save it for a Lover 10th anniversary or something? Like a full-on anniversary celebration or re-release down the road similar to TVs? I think the accepted theory among the Swifties is that she released the three tracks that would otherwise be on Speak Now (TV) because these are the songs from the era that have co-writers, and the likely marketing narrative she'll push when she eventually re-releases that album is that the entire thing is written by her alone. The Lover outtake was just tossed out there because it leaked online and is being widely circulated among the fanbase, so she might as well cash in and officially release it (also RIP to the fans that crowd-funded $2k for the demo only to have the real thing be released days later LOL).

Even if it’s a shorter setlist, I need to see this woman live. I was so close to getting tickets too :( I hope I’ll be blessed enough soon. evermore is my favorite album of hers for Personal Reasons that I wrote about in this 2-year anniversary post, so to see such a big chunk of it be performed AND hear Taylor assure us of her love for it meant a lot.

I doubt it. The rest of the tour will probably have around 30-35 tracks setlist that tops out at around 2 hours. Looks like she's really gonna fully commit to the 40+ songs/3 hours show ATW 10 Minutes included. That was on me for underestimating her lol Edit so i dont double post: I'm dying she really performed ZERO song from debut for second night.

The Eras Tour night 2 has a few changes with lots of new outfit changes like we seen Taylor do on past tours. Taylor has made such a good setlist for this tour, there is always going to be some fan favorites missing from each album set she performs, it also proves that Taylor is such a great singer when great deep cuts are missing from the setlist. Taylor has a great discography that even at her worse her albums are still listenable, Taylor over performs r most other pop/country artists in that regard.

Man I’m disappointed that there’s no Debut section on the setlist. She could’ve easily had a 1-minute interlude and just perform one song, like “Our Song”, which is popular, for example. That’s 5 minutes. The Eras tour should not skip her first album.

Her not making a permanent slot for debut on the tour does not bode well for the eventual re-recording of the album. I understand it's not her most popular album but it was an era of hers and so she should have included it in the tour permanently like every other album.

She announced at the show that she has already re recorded her first 6 albums. So it’s still coming.

I hope the debut re recording can pass 500k sales. Just to keep up with her other ones. Our song and teardrops on my guitar were big enough that at least one of them would could be a slot for that era

No I’m referring to pure sales lifetime. Reds around 870k while fearless is around 660k. Red really benefitted from the all too well hype. I think the debut will hit 500k eventually but might take a lot longer

If you could call it a section she did do Debut on opening night. It was after her talking about how she won’t be repeating surprise songs UNLESS she screws it up really badly the first time.
Night 1: Mirrorball Tim McGraw
Night 2: This Is Me Trying State of Grace
So it looks like she’s doing 2 surprise songs each night.
I’ve caught my breath and can post about the past 48 hours. The show is incredible and a MUST see for any Swiftie. You can tell she really put a lot of effort and love into the show. The tracks chosen for each section of the 4 albums released but not yet toured for are pretty much all excellent. I would maybe switch out some Midnights tracks but I suppose they make sense.
I do wish the Speak Now set was given more love but I’m just happy to have seen Enchanted without it being in a mashup.
Also as someone whose favorite Lover track is MAATHP I never in my wildest dreams thought it would be performed let alone open the damn tour. I legit cried the first night. Lmao. I also cried during Fearless because I didn’t think she’d do it either. I really thought she’d say HITS only and then highlight the four eras that hadn’t been toured and call it a night.
Again, this tour is a must for any Swiftie. I hope everyone is able to attend.
