Ok- so if she sang a non-debut song in place of the debut-album song she sang in the first show, and the surprise song in the second show was not a debut-album song, then not all the albums/eras were represented.

I just can't stop watching the new reputation interlude and the "...Ready For It?" performance. How can you even hate reputation? The aesthetic, the visuals, the power it exudes... I get chills everytime.

Since Taylor has both Glendale shows filmed,It is safe to assume that this tour will be on Disney Plus this fall since she has one more film in her contract there.

I only read minor spoilers, but this sounds amazing!!!! I echo the hope for a concert special.
Also, I looked at the full calendar and she's only performing on weekends, so I hope she rests during the week before flying to wherever she's performing next. I think that's smart to preserve stamina rather than performing every 2-4 days for 3 months solid.

So she isn't performing ME!? No. We lost. We’ll have to wait until she plays it as a surprise song

I am actually a 'ME!' truther (I think the verses are very hooky/great), but she has gems upon gems in her back catalogue. The first four songs that did not make the permanent set list ('Tim McGraw', 'This Is Me Trying', 'State Of Grace' and 'Mirrorball') are all literal masterpieces, so let's not let 'ME!' creep up on in here, k?

I am seeing tweets that "Don't Blame Me" can actually debut in the Hot 100? Is it possible now?

She performed ME! about a billion times during Lover era. That's enough.

I did the math and if she plans to do every song not performed in the standard 42 song set list acoustic by the end of the tour she’d have to add 38 more shows assuming she doesn’t sing any of the Christmas ones. This doesn’t include the vault tracks for any of the TVs she’s been teasing. So there’s still hope for international fans!

It’s strange. Taylor seems to be in a whole new imperial era where she’s at new career peaks with everything around her - except her singles. We typically rely on the performances of singles to help determine where an artist is at in their career and the fact that Taylor’s aren’t massive (well, “Anti-Hero” was big) is kind of telling - not on her performance but on the relevance of singles as a whole. Given how people treat the music they listen to and how the emphasis of an era is less focused on singles than ever before, I wonder if the singles-focus method is becoming passé. Major artists dominate the chart in one sweep and then that’s it, their mark is made. Even smaller artists release songs every few weeks in the lead-up to their album, not with the intention of making a singles chart, but simply to promote the upcoming album - and then the lifespan of those songs is limited just to the album they come from rather than having lives of their own, unless they become a viral entity.

Cruel Summer would have probably also peaked at #2 but it would have been much stronger than ME! as the lead.

It's still wild to me Cruel Summer wasn't the lead single from Lover. It could have done some really special things.

Don't Blame Me and Cruel Summer are really the best album tracks from Reputation and Lover. It is nice to see them get some resurgence, just imagine if these were released initially back in 2017-2019. I think both albums would of fared better than what happened at the time.

I don’t know if this is wishful thinking but I really believe that there’s only one typical surprise song slot in the setlist (the guitar one) and the piano slot will mostly be “Tim McGraw” and a couple of other songs on rotation. Please Taylor.

Cruel Summer would have probably also peaked at #2 but it would have been much stronger than ME! as the lead. Nah! Methinks it would have definitely gotten to #1. If not a debut definitely in its second week as the lead single. If a mediocre song like ME! could do it, I’m positive a superior song like Cruel Summer would have done miles better.

ME! had a huge amount of points, but it was up against Old Town Road. I don't think Cruel Summer would have been different in that regard.

I'm guessing if 'Cruel Summer' had been the lead single we may have been looking at a record breaking run at #2. But who knows, maybe would have snuck in one week at the top a la 'Bad Guy'. But I'm sure just about everyone on this forum can agree that picking 'ME!' over 'Cruel Summer' is possibly her worst decision regarding single releases ever.

Yeah Cruel Summer as the lead would’ve made the album lead up better for sure but Old Town Road was a Goliath. Didn’t Me still have over 500 points?

Pretty sure ME! had over 700 points. They threw everything at the wall for that one.
Cruel Summer would have—in theory—held better on streaming, so it could have had even more points, but OTR was a monster. It's a nice thought but not sure anything would have overtaken it.
EDIT:
ME! had over 800 points but OTR had over 900, lol.

I loved "Cruel Summer" back then, but I think I loved "I forgot that you existed" even more.

I’m curious to see how she’s gonna fit surprise guests in this tour. On one hand, this is more of a celebration of her career and there’s probably not enough time for an extra 5 to 6 minutes (surprise guest introduction + song) to be added to the show.
However I can’t imagine a Taylor Swift tour without surprise guests, especially considering how many artists she has interacted with or taken under her wing these past few years.

She'll probably use one of the surprise song slots for guest appearances? Olivia Rodrigo being a surprise guest would be really nice.

Olivia Rodrigo being a surprise guest would be really nice. I don't think they are on good terms at all. potentially has to do with Taylor's camp threatening to sue Olivia for songwriting credit on "deja vu." They were sitting one table apart from each other at the Grammy's and did not talk/interact once. She was also not at Taylor's after party.
