???
This is indeed the lead single from the forthcoming "This Type of Thinking Could Do Us In", due September 21.
However, I've heard an early August Adds date for this single.
Sincerely, Noah Eaton

I think he meant August 2nd, although I thought adds dates usually come on Tuesdays, and neither Aug. nor July 2 is a Tuesday.
"Send the Pain Below" and "The Red" are probably two of my top 5 most burned out recurrents. Whatever the adds date for this new one is, it can't come soon enough.

I liked this a lot upon first listen. I can hear some Tool influence in it.

Thought I'd pass along an mp3 I just got of the song. It's fairly good, though I've only listened to it once. It's a radio rip, so it's not perfect quality, but good for a first impression. members.cox.net/deadly1/R_revision.mp3

Not as great as "The Red" or "Send The Pain Below"

Well, looks like it might just make its debut in the top 30.
Its at 33 at the moment and I'm sure that bullet will be bigger by tomorrow.

CHEVELLE Vitamin R Producer(s): Michael "Elvis" Baskette, Chevelle Writer(s): Chevelle Publisher(s): Pay Your Dues Through Music (BMI) Genre: MODERN ROCK Label/Catalog Number: Epic 56917 (CD promo) Source: Billboard Magazine Originally Reviewed: September 04, 2004
After Chicago trio Chevelle's sophomore album, "Wonder What's Next," went platinum on the strength of three strong singles, the bar was set high for its follow-up, "This Kind of Thinking Could Do Us In." The first taste, "Vitamin R," rises to the occasion, as evidenced by its rapid ascent at modern and active rock. The moody, midtempo track recalls the Chicago brothers' breakthrough hit, "The Red," in phrasing and dynamics. The lyrics deal with Ritalin—the "vitamin" in question—and a friend of the band who abused it. Most stations that have had success with Chevelle will find "Vitamin R" an easy pill to swallow.—BT

I thought I would like this one more than I do, but it seems that all Chevelle songs take several listens for me to enjoy. I have no idea why.

I keep wanting to this "Vitamin R Is Leading Us Along".
I've only heard this once, and it was on a walkman in a car. From I could tell, it was good like their other songs, but it was too little for me to get a read on. It's a shame too, because KNDD is not going to play this, and I don't listen to KISW (Active Rock) as much as The End. Also, I don't get Fuse anymore. So it's entirely possible I may never hear this again, unless I get the album. :'( (By the way, I heard it on WXRK)
I think KNDD and KISW should just fuse together into one station. I'd enjoy that much more since it'd probably closely resemble K-Rock. Then maybe I'd get my Chevelle.

No way in hell should the end fuse together with anyone, period.
kndd is doing great things in playing what they're playing now.

I know, but I guess I just like the WXRK version of alternative more than KNDD's version. That and you can only go so long hearing Nirvana every half-hour before you start changing the channel. I mean, I know they're a legendary Seattle band, but please. Also, I'm mad that they don't consider Lostprophets alternative. I really should e-mail them about it and see if they do anything.

That was a #1, so I don't know what they were doing abandoning that one. It's embarassing not to add the #1 song, although in a few cases, I can't blame the PDs, although that one sounds in its place at the format.

Then when they remodeled themselves, they must've kicked it to the curb, since I never heard it thereafter.

I just heard this song in full for the first time today...all I can say is, I had no idea anyone could sound that much as Trapt.

Uh, Chevelle came first and haven't changed their core sound much at all over the years.

They sound more like Tool than Trapt, as SyrupBoy sarcastically pointed out to me last year.

Agreed, and also, I can't think of a single Tool song that sounds anything like Chevelle, either.
