I picked the pop/rock/country singers, although I don't like Kelly Clarkson.

MOST definitely, the R&B/Hip Hop Queens as a whole. R&B music is more my muse. Although, I don't listen to Nicki as much as the others in this category.
Second pick, performers 1 as I grew up enjoying their music videos in the 90s. Love them all. I am bigger fan of Paula, Janet, and Madonna tho.
Third pick: girl groups π
πΎ I admire them all, but I mostly listen to DC, En Vogue, and TLC.
Honorable mention:
Big Vocalists #1: Admire them all, I especially grew up with Mariah, Celine, and Whitney.

1. Big vocalists 2: Christina is my #1 artist, so... Love Ariana, too, although to a lesser degree, adored 21 for Adele and liked 25, loved The Fame / Monster from Gaga and from there her material is more mixed, and I like Beyonce overall. 2. Big vocalists 1: Love all of these, but Whitney more than the others. Objectively, this should be my first vote considering the breadth of great material between the five, but the generational bias carried means Christina and early Gaga means a little more to me. 3. Pop/rock/country songwriters: Love Kelly, P!nk, and Taylor (love Kelly closer to the level of Christina and Whitney than those other two, but still), Avril's okay. 4. Girl Groups: Love The Supremes and Spice Girls, love particular singles of TLC and Destiny's Child. 5. Performers 1: I only really like Madonna and Cher from this first category. Well, I do like the two or so hits Paula had and liked her as a personality on Idol and X Factor, I guess. Cyndi Lauper would've been a good 5th one here. 6. Performers 2: A lot of great hits between them, but my interest in those five is very dependent on how good any particular song is and less fans of them in general. Katy and Britney are probably the two I'm most inclined towards, with Rihanna third. 7. R&B/Hip Hop Queens: Pop is my first preference, so this isn't really a surprise. Blige is probably the one I like most of these (her voice and her personality), although even with her I admit I know little of her discography. On the other hand, I do know a lot of Alicia's hits, but really only love If I Ain't Got You and Girl On Fire. Same with Nicki Minaj, only a few of her songs do I really like, she's alright.

1. Big Vocalists: I love everyone in this category besides Celine. I love and stan Diana, but she is NOT a big vocalist. I would replace her with Dionne or Gladys. And Celine just should not be there with the others.
2. Performers 1: I Love Paula, I do but she should not be up there with the others. Paula can perform, but not at the level of the others. I'd replace her with Tina Turner. I like Madonna's music, and I love and stan Cher and Janet.
3. Girlbands: I love all these girl bands except the Spice Girls. DC is ok..but compared to the others their material is weak. I stan Ev Vogue, TLC, and the best-selling GC The Supremes.

Big vocalists 1 for sure, Whitney Mariah combo alone is everything.
Performers 2: cheesy or not, these pop stars are fantastic, so many catchy jams
Girlbands: TLC, Spice Girls and Destiny's Child were huge back then
And Yes, i prefer Destiny's Child, not Beyonce

Yes, most non-black Americans do not listen to R&B consistently. Ofc, there are exceptions, but generally R&B is overlooked by non-black/AA
