15. "Jimmy Cooks" [11]: The first part of this sounds so good, but then of course it pulls a "Life Is Good" and completely sh its the bed in the second half. And honestly, the second part of this sounds worse than the second part of "Life Is Good". As bad as the latter part may be, the first half is enough to almost put it in my top half. 14. "Me Porto Bonito" [19]: Good riddance. To me, the Ozuna-like vocals from Chencho Corleone are so much more irritating than any aspect of "Sunroof". Just saying. And the production doesn't interest me nearly enough to make up for it. Everything besides the Ozuna-like vocals may be bearable, but still mid at best. 13. "STAY" [12]: The awkward moment when I ranked this higher than its actual placement. This list forced my hand with this rank. At one point, I had it in my top ten. Safe to say, I'm long over seeing this song on the charts. Though I've lost interest in the charts, let's just say I'll be a bit tilted if it somehow finishes higher than "As It Was" on the year-end chart. And nice to see that I was right about the correct Justin Bieber song being higher. I'd be lying if I said the chorus didn't slap lol. {Spoiler}I do admittedly feel the same way. 12. "First Class" [14]: The lyrics are quite cringe, come to think of it. But that production still shi ts all over that of "What's Poppin'", which I still don't get the love for. The sample kinda got stale over time, though. Oh, and it took a week away from "As It Was" at #1. 11. "WAIT FOR U" [9]: This is actually decent, especially for Future. It doesn't stand out in any way, but it's at least consistently decent throughout, which is clearly already more than I can say about a lot of this Songs of the Summer list. My thoughts:
15. Honestly? It's not the greatest thing ever, but it's still the best song from his album. (#13)
14. Once I got past Chencho's voice, it kinda rocks for me! (#12)
13. RIP. What a great run for this song. Still bumping to this from time to time. (#8)
12. The Glamorous sample carried this hard. Still had a light chuckle on the "pineapple juice" line. (#10)
11. Pretty okay for a Future and Drake collab. (#18)

During these "Heat Waves", I can't enjoy what "Jimmy Cooks",
And I can't even open the "Sunroof" of my "First Class" car.
But I don't mind "Stay" in here for a while, because all I do is "Wait for U".
You can say that my time is "Wasted On You" and I can't find anything "You Proof",
But I don't care because "I Like You" and "I'll Behave Nicely" just for you.

Hot takes on the first 10 reveals:
I’ll just knock out the first two in one since they don’t need separate reviews:
#20 and #19: Morgan Wallen - You Proof and Wasted on You (my ranking: #19 and #20): What needs to be said about these songs has been said. I just find them plain annoying.
#18: Nicky Youre/dazy - Sunroof (my ranking: #8): I can see why this became a hit and I do enjoy it, but to be honest it kinda burned on me after ranking these songs. As the fall started I just didn’t find a reason to care anymore.
#17: Post Malone/Doja Cat - I Like You (my ranking: #16): I just find this incredibly generic, something that is usually not the case for both artists. Say what you want about Post Malone, but he’s been responsible for some of the most interesting mainstream songs of the last 5 or so years. I can’t quite put my finger on why I find this so bad, but it’s just hard to listen to.
#16: Glass Animals - Heat Waves (my ranking: #15): I do remember liking this when I first heard it, but overplay has ruined any connection I ever had with this song in the first place.
#15: Drake/21 Savage - Jimmy Cooks (my ranking: #18): Can Drake just like… stop? please?
#14: Bad Bunny/Chencho Corleone - Me Porto Bonito (my ranking: #11): As with the majority, I consider this the weaker of the Bad Bunny songs on the list. I want to give it a chance, but I just can’t get into it.
#13: The Kid Laroi/Justin Bieber - Stay (my ranking: #17): Unlike Heat Waves, this is a song I didn’t like when I first heard it, and the overplay throughout the last year has made it even worse. I haven’t been a fan of any of Kid Laroi’s singles so far expect Thousand Miles and maybe Without You, and Justin Bieber is such a plain performer that he can’t even help make it better.
#12: Jack Harlow - First Class (my ranking: #12): Ay, a perfect ranking! This song is one that I can vibe with on some occasions and I find unlistenable on others. So all in all, I just find it decent. He’s done better.
#11: Future/Drake/Tems: Wait For U (my ranking: #13): This song hit #1 on the charts yet I’ve always found it to be a complete nonentity just there to fill space. I’m glad Tems finally got a big hit, but those vocals aren’t original. I just find Future and Drake’s parts boring.
And that leaves us at:
1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 14
Not bad. Most of the songs I enjoyed are still here. Hopefully my favorites can make it to the end.

20: Bad and no it's not just the bias against Wallen talking.
19: Tolerable; there is a sick twisted schadenfreude that someone who was outed as a hard racist, one of their biggest hits is a song this pissy, bitter, and sour.
18: Of all the songs on this list, this is without a doubt the most personality-less: the definition of a filler hit. It'll probably be played at a ton of family shows and on radio but I guarantee we'll forget this exists by next year.
17: Admittedly this is just as plastic as the last song but I don't know, there's just a charm to it. Again, probably shouldn't like it as much as I do but we all enjoy junk food every now and then
16: It was awful last year and it's awful a year later
15: y'all hate good rap I s2g
14: It did take awhile to get used to Chencho Corleone's voice but once I did, yeah a fun bop. Though far from the best on UVST.
13: No other comment on the song itself but we might as well throw Kid LAROI in the pile of one-year wonders
12: Remember when Jack Harlow used to be marginally interesting or clever?
11: Snore, and sucks this is Future-Drake's biggest song together when all their other hits are far better.

I know Me Porto Bonito was in my top ten and all but that's just because UVST is really really good. I can't get super mad at MPB placing where it did. Tragic that it was the biggest hit off the album instead of fifteen better songs.
