Understandably the higher ALT song but I think this is lamer than the other one, especially the lyrics.

From artist's bio: “Deep End,” recalls late-era Dwight Yoakam with its heartland rhythms, shimmering guitars, and irresistible hooks.Well I'm on board.

Why do I have to listen to that (off-tune?) trumpet part four times (including one part with raised keys)?

Maggie Rose's voice did nothing to me, which imo weakens this vocal-demanding waltz song.

The parent album sounds much weirder than this song, lots of synths but particularly the vocal production which feels like autotuned a lot. This is one of the bright spots though.

Bluegrass rework of the song featured in A Sailor's Guide to Earth. I like this more than the original.

First Jade Bird song down. I don't really like her vocals in this, especially the monotonic part where she sings fast.

Pleasantly surprised to see Marty Stuart being this high, as he seems always to be shafted in country rankdowns.

This is 100% not among the best songs from Blackberry Smoke (not strong enough personality shown imo), if anything 2010s southern rock bands feel like on the downward spiral in terms of quality now, but this is good enough for the rankdown.

I don't think this is too different from Ain't The Same, so they ending up close to each other makes sense to me. A whopping 44 places improvement from AAA rankdown, however, is unexpected.
