“Church Girl” has been getting a lot of love with R&B audiences, I can see why they’d push it to those formats. However it makes no sense that they haven’t sent “Cuff It” to pop radio yet. Actually a lot of things have not made sense about this era and I’m wondering why? They missed so many opportunities and at this point it just feels like she’s self sabotaging the era. |

As a non-Beyonce stan take my opinion as you will. I think Beyonce's team assumes that because she's Beyonce, she doesn't need any super amazing rollout plan and what not because she's Beyonce and everyone loves her and she'll do well. I think this strategy just doesn't work for her in today's music era to maintain the longevity her team would like. So, they're struggling with finding a right balance and it doesn't seem they've found it.

I'm not a Beyonce stan myself either, so when I refer to her team as being expert in self-sabotage, this is exactly the sort of thing I mean. Just assuming that because Beyonce is Beyonce that whatever they push will be a hit, not being responsive to the songs that people are gravitating to, all of these things hurt the success of an album or an artist, and it's hard to get those things right. We celebrate when an artist's team manages to do so--think of Kate Bush's this year for example--but Beyonce's team is an example where things have not been gotten right. |

'Cuff It' is already in the Top 10 in NZ but we all know how US radio works, IF they play it then it will be long after a streaming surge

They're clearly trying to play the game this time around. There's no way you can say they don't care. There wasn't a music video for "BMS" and more so not much has been done in general since album release week. I don't see that as "clearly trying to play the game." Releasing a single instead of surprise drop, trying to drum up some promo, letting a single rise a bit before dropping the album, a radio push for that single, releasing a Queens Remix, sending a different song to rhythmic once the first single died down. That's playing the game. As a few of us have mentioned, it's not a great balance. But they're not just trying to get by with Beyonce's name alone. |

I'm guessing there's different things that have gone wrong behind the scenes as to why they've not acted in the best and most obvious manner marketing and strategy-wise. Different plans have probably been formulated and then shelved regarding when and even if to release Acts 2 and 3, what videos and singles to release and promote now, maybe they're getting nervous and things were changed once Taylor announced she's releasing, etc. Also the usual personal and contractual conflicts probably going on as well.

^^Yeah. Stay refuses to die at radio. It will probably manage to "stay" in the top 10 of Radio Songs as First Class should fall below it. Depends on whether it loses more than First Class tommorow and Bad Habit breaks in instead. Or the exact scenario you said plays out. Sidenote: but has anyone noticed that Titi Me Pregunto has been getting a decent sized radio push as of late? |

It seems RUTH will have enough power to push through to 52 weeks, especially if there's another big streaming/airplay push in December/January with year-end countdowns and Spotify wrapped lists.

A lot of old songs reached new peaks on the daily spotify chart today, probably most notable being Die For You in top 10 and Sweater Weather at #17. It seems like we’re in another drought for new popular music, but at least Lil Baby and Taylor will put an end to it
