Her debut studio album that was released on October 9, 2001 in the international market by Murder Inc Records and Def Soul, both divisions of Def Jam Recordings. It was supposed to be released in the U.S. on September 25, but unfortunately, 9/11 happened. Her label then decided to release it in only Europe and Japan. The album peaked at # 23 in the UK, selling a total of 101,986 copies, and achieved a Gold certification. Internationally, the album peaked at #36 in the Netherlands, #98 in Sweden, and #138 in France. The album was mainly produced by Irv Gotti (who had produced Ashanti's first three albums), Jermaine Dupri, and Bloodshy & Avant.
I had just listened to the album again. It's not that bad as I thought. I like the Irv Gotti tracks the best, followed by Bloodshy & Avant. I wish she had released more of those as singles like "Spending Time With You", "Get Away", and "You Make Me Laugh". She sounded like a mixture of Ashanti, Janet, Aaliyah, and Mya on the majority of the album, especially on "It Hurts When...". "Satisfaction Guaranteed" is another song I really like. Reminds me of Craig David's debut. "Perfect" from the 2020 deluxe edition should have been on the main tracklist!! It's a total Janet vibe. I think I may like the album tracks even more than the actual singles. lol I remember watching "Am to pm" and "Get Away" videos on TRL and Nickelodeon. I also remember seeing her as a host on MTV's Wannabe around this time.
"A.M. To P.M." #27 Hot 100, #13 Dance Club Songs, #58 R&B/Hip Hop, #21 Mainstream Top 40, #24 Rhythmic, #35 Top 40 Tracks, #3 U.K., #2 U.K. Hip Hop/R&B
"When You Look At Me"#3 U.K., #2 U.K. Hip Hop/R&B

I remember looking for this album as a kid for a while (the single proudly declared "Album In Stores, September 2001!), not realizing it was shelved. Eventually, once I realized I was never gonna find it in a store, I got an import copy as a gift thanks to the magic of Amazon! I truly love this album, especially the Bloodshy & Avant tracks. B&A might be my favorite production group from the 2000's, and it all started here.
"Let Go" from the Japanese edition is one of my favorite deep cuts.

This is one of those albums I have always been meaning to check out but obviously seeking it out was a struggle for the longest time. With that said, I've loved AM To PM and When You Look At Me for ages now, truly underrated gems of the 2000s.
Maybe I'll go finally check out the album, especially seeing Bloodshy & Avant have involvement and they are 2000s pop royalty so.
