I'd still rather see 'Dying Atheist', but maybe we can hope for that as the third single. Does anyone know why this song (Hysteria) fell out of KNND's playlist a couple months ago? They had it in rotation for a few weeks, and then it just suddenly disappeared.

I like this. I was hoping for "Stockholm Syndrome", but I guess it was a little too off-the-wall for radio.

Stockhome Syndrome was the first single in the U.K. so, chances are we might not see it as a single here, which is unfortunate.
Thoughts Of a Dying Athiest, while played on woxy, hasn't been, and isn't planed to be a single yet.
There's quite a possible chance that the third U.S. single will be the fourth, and current single everywhere else, Sing For Absolution, and I hope that U.S. stations have the balls to play it, cause that would be nothing short of awesome.

Yeah, 'Stockholm Syndrome' wasn't a true single, it was just the album taster issued as an mp3 only track last summer. Still, I'd have to think there's about zero chance of that one getting released to American radio.

Well, they made a video, and a rather interesting one at that, which made me of the belief that Stockholm Syndrome is a single.
I don't think they'd show it in the states though, after the whole ordeal with people being beheaded in iraq and whatnot.

I believe the deal was if you bought the mp3, you got the link to watch the video (but not an actual downloadable copy). It is a very cool vid.

This is now at #43 with a bullet of +149
I can't see many radio stations not playing this at this point in time.
I'll be shocked if this doesn't atleast do what Time Is Running Out did.
I'm a bit shakey on my prediction of this being #1, but I say top 5 for sure.
One thing that annoys the hell out of me though, is although I know "I want it now..." is a big part of the chorus, but since when in the hell was it the subtitle? Does this song really need a subtitle? I hope that's just the idiots at all access that did that.

Although their video for Sing For Absolution (i think) is beyond dreadful. Funny, but dreadful. They should have released Butterflies and Hurricanes.

The video for Sing For Absolution does leave me a bit perplexed to say the least.

If this doesn't get to atleast #10 and by now, it probably won't, it will be a travesty.
How can radio not play this song?

After all it's been through, a number 11 peak would be a bit unsettling. But it's not making any significantly greater gains than 10 (save me) or 9 (I'm not Okay), and it's woefully behind any other songs in front of it that are falling. The song may still need to grow a few more weeks worth of legs to make the top 10 yet.
Either way though, I think a third US single should be in order now, wherever it peaks.

It was a long time coming, but I fucking love this song now. It rocks so hard, the verses are so tense, and the guitar solo is mesmerizing.

And I'm still holding out hope for 'Dying Atheist'. Of all the possible choices, that's the one with the best chance to crack the top 5. Radio programmers and listeners alike would eat up that chorus.

The Muse album has a sticker with "TIRO", "Hysteria", and "Sing For Absolution" on it, so I'm guessing "SFA" is next.

It looks like this may pass JEW and reach the top 10 sometime this week. I wonder which song holds the record for longest run before hitting the top 10. Because Hysteria has been kicking around for almost six months now.

The February 11th chart will mark the 23rd week for "Hysteria", not counting the two-week break.

Sing For Absolution has pretty much been the confirmed 3rd U.S. single.
I also find it funny that Origin Of Symmetry has started showing up in some places without an import sticker and a regular price.

"SFA" is one of the few songs from the album that I don't love, so blah.

Sing For Absolution is a bit slow, but it has that sludgy guitar part mixed amongst the piano that people will find irristable. That should get it into the top 20 alone.
