Even though the 55 spins alone wouldn't quite have gotten it there, I agree that if KIIS had put Karma into power a couple of weeks ago, it likely would have been #1 on pop last week. Nothing happens in isolation, and guaranteed a lot of the PDs out there pay attention to what major market stations are adding to power, and that could easily influence their own playlisting decisions. And here I bet last week it would have influenced a few other stations enough to get this up there. Looking at KIIS's playlist now, they put Kill Bill and As It Was BACK into power last week - instead of Karma which they could have easily chosen. And they only gave Cruel Summer 41 spins last week so we can't really blame that. KIIS is normally all in for Taylor so this is a weird one.. |

I was just reminded of this.. This is the closest we've come since 2021, of the situation where #1 and #2 had an equal number of spins, and not sure what logic was used to decide who got the #1 spot. This happened on 6/14/21 when Peaches and Levitating both had 17513 spins but the #1 was given to Dua Lipa. The tiebreaker on Mediabase is the bullet (outside of country which has a points system so even if the spins are tied they could have different amount of points, not sure what they do if they're tied in points) so I'm assuming Levitating had the bigger bullet. |
