Huge updates out the gate, this is clearly a surefire top 10 on CHR and then anything further just depends on the streaming + callouts.

This is my least favourite song she’s ever done, and the ONLY Taylor Swift song I don’t listen to on the regular. I find it like an SNL parody skit song that she would be featured in if she was also that episodes musical guest.
Edit: I’m speaking of the chorus only. The verses and pre-chorus are fire. 😂
I hum the pre-chorus on the regular.

Perfect timing to push this with her ongoing tour. It's gaining really well in airplay and its streaming is doing quite well at this stage too. Releasing a music video in a couple weeks will likely see it back in the top 20 or even the top 10 of the Hot 100 I would think. Any MV would need to be a tour montage or visualizer, I doubt there’s time between tour stops to shoot a full video |

We don't know if it's for Karma or a future re-recording, though. |

I've long been team 'Karma' for a single. It's the most natural fit. Exciting to see her have another radio hit and likely third top ten from the album! Let's hope it hits the top spot.

I don’t care all that much about lyrics to songs.
Of course if they are to jarring I guess I notice, but for the most part I’m into melody and production?
I personally like “Karma” more than “Anti Hero”.
I never got the hype over it and always preferred “Lavender Haze” over it.
I’m sure I’m in the minority with Taylor Swift fans though.
I’m only mentioning it because there’s been complaints on here about the lyrics to “Karma”.
I guess the lyric about the Karma is a cat or something is a little bit goofy, but that’s the only thing I don’t like about the song.
The rest sounds like most Taylor Swift songs to me???

I like the zany lyrics of this song. It isn't trying to be too serious. It isn't like Ready For It where it was trying way too hard.
This feels light and purposely so.
Also, the verses and bridge slap.

Enchanted honestly did better than Cruel Summer on streaming (at least here in the US, not sure about worldwide) when it went viral and we got nothing from it, so I don't expect anything to happen with Cruel Summer. (Don't Blame Me also went viral recently and wasn't given anything.) I think Taylor and her team are content with just having a few songs have their moments and do their own things.

I know you are very probably right, but I will point out that even though it peaked higher (I believe it spent a day or two in the top 10) its longevity was nowhere near this. It suffered from occurring just before the release of Red TV and was immediately swallowed by that project. I know 'Karma' is coming, but it's a lot likelier that two songs could co-exist than 'Enchanted' having to duke it out with 30 new songs. A boy can dream! |
