what are some examples of songs which were either launched into relevance after the release of their music video or songs which were already charting but were launched into the stratosphere post mv-launch ?
an example of the former: lucid dreams (by juice wrld) an example of the latter: happier (by marshmello and bastille)

Bad Blood is the definition of this.
Also Anaconda did this as well.

Does See You Again count? It probably still would have been a decent-sized hit without the video, but I'm pretty sure it was the main reason it got to number one and stayed as long as it did both on there, and on the charts, so much so that it barely made the 2016 year-end.

I immediately thought of an opposite. I remember "#Beautiful" hitting a wall when the video came out despite it's decent performance at radio up to that point.

Save Your Tears
I think Music For A Sushi Restaurant has the potential for this.

"See You Again" was already on the rise, but it definitely saw a big boost the week the video was released. Yeah this one's interesting because isn't the video what led to him getting a deal or something? The song didn't peak in the U.S. until like a year after the video dropped, but the song wouldn't have gotten notice/promotion in the U.S. if not for the video. (I can't speak to when it took off outside the U.S.)
