Since More Life. It’s impressive that every new project he released since Scorpion had a #1 song, including ones like Scary Hours 2 and Dark Lane Demo Tapes.

I love dance remixes and enjoy the Roosevelt remix, so I'm glad it exists, but I don't really understand/agree with her choice to release it this week. If she actually manages to sell close to 100k from two remixes, that's impressive, but could have been better utilized in future weeks when the race for #1 was actually close.

Yeah if Taylor were to nab the #1 this week it would be the first with "Anti-Hero" that actually needed the tactics to pull it off, which is pointless as she was likely returning there anyway (but she likely is wanting as much success as she can't get at this stage in her career).

Highly doubt that, they put so much energy into the first one with tepid results. From what I heard, I also don't think Born Again is as good as Lift Me Up, so if people weren't jumping on LMU, I doubt they will this.

Anti-Hero should remain at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The gap has shrunk when it comes to streaming against Drake. It is extremely strong in sales and has more radio airplay than Drake's new song. Since airplay is weighted heavier, that should keep Anti-Hero at the top.

Preview for Born Again: it's still a slow song but it's not a ballad per say.

I like it a little bit more than Lift Me Up but I see why it wasn't a single: it doesn't have a big hook and it sounds like it's built from a film score than a stand alone instrumental.

For the record, I do like a lot of her music. And no, to this point I haven't been curious enough to check out the new album. I wouldn't turn it off if it came on somewhere I was, though, and I'm sure I'll get around to checking it out at some point. I just have been into other music the past few weeks.

I will be quite surprised if Taylor secures the #1 spot this week, and even though IMO it would be unfair if she did I certainly wouldn't mind seeing the heads explode on here. This week would be a rare instance where it makes the difference and puts her over the edge.

You are not Taylor Swift and you don't know what goes on in her mind. If she has all these chart manipulation tactics ready to go whenever she has an album set to drop, it's because SHE feels she needs them.

Anyone who was truly confident in their music doing the work on its own and getting them the results they wanted on the charts wouldn't be doing all the things Taylor does, whether you want to believe it or not. It's really that simple lol.

Anyone who says and actually believes she releases all these CLEAR cash-grab, aimless remixes "because of the fans" is just as delusional as the fans buying the remixes.

Not to mention the emotional manipulation tactic with the timer on her website set to remind fans that they only have a limited amount of time to "buy! buy!! buy!!!"

Taylor really does share quite a number of qualities with the patriarchy she claims to be against.

Why is this an argument. When someone who has a lot of fans here uses these tactics, it’s admissible and we turn a blind eye (e.g., Taylor, Nicki, etc). When it’s someone Pulse doesn’t like uses the tactics, it’s pages upon pages of complaints and drags (e.g., BTS, 6ix9ine w/o Nicki).

Just call it what it is. Personally, I think it’s a bit desperate under all circumstances. And, yes, that is judgment. But also, it’s allowed so I can’t blame them too much. And if people are willing to spend money on it, it is what it is.
