I think this year's CMA Awards show deserves this poll from quality and presentation wise. Choose up to 5.

“You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive” was in a class by itself in many ways.

Top 5 for me:
Loretta Lynn Tribute (beautiful tribute!) Cole Swindell/Jo Dee Messina (for the surprise of giving us JO DEE!) Patty Loveless/Chris Stapleton (Patty SERVED!) Miranda Lambert (she's always consistent for me and "Geraldene" was a fun pick) HARDY/Lainey Wilson (Lainey is a STAR confirmed)
Honorable Mentions: Kelsea/Kelly/Carly was cute & fun. Carly Pearce delivered a nice +1 tribute to Loretta. Carrie Underwood's performance was good because we haven't got a party jam like that from her in a minute, aside from "Southbound" which doesn't quite "fit" her style the way "Hate My Heart" does, and she showed why she would've been a better EOTY pick than Luke Combs whose performance was rather meh. Ashley McBryde & co. was great, but I wish they'd given us "Bonfire at Tina's" because I think that would've popped a lot better. It was lovely to see Caylee Hammack on stage because of it though, she's severely underrated.
Worst performance of the night was EASILY Luke Bryan. I get that he was co-hosting so ofc. he had to take a slot, but... what a f**king waste. Zac Brown Band wasn't needed and Morgan Wallen performed "You Proof" which is his worst song to date so no ty.

My own top 5: 1. Chris Stapleton, Patty Loveless - "You’ll Never Leave Harlan Alive" This is somehow a full song performance. Not complain though because Patty’s vocals are top-notch and Chris’ are just enough. 2. Loretta Lynn opening tribute Again full song performances of some genre classics with great vocals. 3. Cole Swindell, Jo Dee Messina - "She Had Me At Heads Carolina" Jo Dee Messina also serves great vocals. 4. Ashley McBryde & co. - "When Will I Be Loved" Mostly because of the harmony. 5. Cody Johnson - "'Til You Can't" Mostly because of that one long note.
Worst: 1. Morgan Wallen – “You Proof” His live vocals are still terrible and it feels he doesn’t sing in a “correct” way. 2. Luke Combs – “The Kind of Love We Make” He shouted instead of sang the chorus.

It's hilarious that the two men leading country music right now and selling out shows barely have votes here. One won EOTY lmao.

Ha I mean sure, but even so I think objectively speaking Morgan and Luke were not among the best performers of the night, though maybe there are a lot of people who don't care about vocals, stage presence, effects, etc.
