Probably no surprise to anyone , but "Life In The Fast Lane" would have been one of the two choices I have for #1.

So, this makes the charts AND the top 40?
But this doesn't even chart? (Though it did make #2 in the UK). That makes sense...
ELP's C'est la Vie (#93) is pretty good, no Fanfare though.

Moondance on here from Van Morrison charted in 1977 but is from 1970? Indeed "Moondance" was not released as a single until 1977 even though it was the title track to his 1970 album.

Some interesting finds in the extras. A couple huge duds - one so bad I had to turn it off and I never do that: The Soul Train Gang and "My Cherie Amour". That was a sacreligious experience and Stevie Wonder should've smacked the crap out of them. Shalamar's Uptown Festival (Part 1) was almost as bad, but not that bad. Thank God Jody Watley had nothing to do with that near train wreck.
The Rod Stewart song was a nice change of pace from his usual faire. The Robert Gordon and Sam Neely songs were also quite good.
The Linda Ronstadt tunes and the Mac McAnally songs were nice but lacking a little something IMO.
Paul Nicholas' "Heaven on the 7th Floor" is fun, lightweight, but fun.
KC & The Sunshine Band - I Like to Do It" is another KC classic. All the KISS songs were some of their better hits.
Surprised how many songs languished in the bottom 90's.
Looking forward to this..

Finally got through all the extras on this one. This was definitely one of the more eclectic years as far as songs that made it in some shape or form to the Top 100. Let's remake Beethoven?! The I Love Lucy Theme?!?!
Really enjoyed the ZZ Top "Arrested for Driving Blind", I thought I knew a lot of their stuff, but evidently not. Sweet's "Funk it Up" surely deserved better than #88. Really liked Johnny Bristol's "Do It to My Mind" as well.
That John Travolta song was shit. It feels like a song released to capitalize off of the Grease soundtrack, but no, this one came out a year before he hit it big with Grease.
It is hard to believe some "hits" like Solsbury Hill are from 77, sounds so much like it belongs in the 80's. ELO, Fleetwood Mac, Foreigner were all at their prime and then you had a lot of these "lost hits" (two of which were in my Spotify Top 100 of last year). I'm looking forward to the results on this one.
