This year more than others, albums had a tendency to linger on the Hot 100, and served as a greater indicator of hype than individual songs. I’ll do the defining songs poll in a few days, but I want to ask this question first. I chose the 5 albums that had the most staying power, though if anyone feels that another album deserves the title, feel free to share. Personally, I was set to vote for Bad Bunny, who unquestionably dominated the summer. But then Taylor came in at the last second, outsold everyone in a single week, and has managed to keep every song on the album charting a full month later. I can see it going either way though

I can see it going either way though Definitely think Bad Bunny's 11 songs with at least 14 weeks on chart (and 8 with at least 20 weeks) is more impressive, especially for a Latin artist. Idk what will be THE album of 2022 in 5 years, but for now it's Un Verano Sin Ti 100% imo.

Midnights is huge, but I think voting for Midnights over Harry's House is just recency basis. Harry's House dominated much MORE of the year than a late arrival like Midnights.
Not that Harry's House is even my choice. Personally, I agree that Bad Bunny is the correct answer.

Gotta go with Midnights because of how massive it was on impact and it seems to be having a lot of staying power, although Harry's House is close.

Midnights is gonna end up more associated with 2023. people can keep crying about my opinion, but Bad Bunny's songs sound the same. But I guess it was influential. I'm still going with Harry's House because it landed a few hits & its influence on the current sound is already evident

Of those on the list, Midnights.
