Since the Billboard Hot 100 year-end chart came out yesterday, I decided to make my own list of my 100 favorite songs from this year. This is actually something I've been doing since 2016, but it's always just been more something I do for fun and I've never publicly shared it anywhere before. I've seen a lot of people share their personal charts on here, so I thought it might be fun to share my year-end list publicly this year. I don't really have time at the moment to write reviews for all 100 of them, but if there's a specific song on here you want to know my thoughts on, you're welcome to ask!

Favorite New Artists of the Year
1. Em Beihold - "Numb Little Bug" made me fall in love with Em Beihold. I am quite into her quirky bedroom pop sound, and she seems like a pretty cool down-to-Earth, artist who's authentic with her fans from the interviews she's done. The EP she put out this year was really experimental and while I only find myself returning to a little over half of the songs (all of those charting here), I really appreciate her unique musical style and enjoy her as an artist.
2. Jvke - I absolutely love his unique production style and how all of the songs on his debut project represent some sort of raw, unfiltered feeling...whether that's being madly in love with someone or coping with heartbreak. He does an incredible job expressing all his feelings in a way that feel super authentic and real. You can instantly tell when listening to his music that he is tapping into the deepest, most vulnerable side of himself when he's writing. I know his quirky musical style might not be for everyone, but I think this guy has real talent and I hope he gets a hit.
3. Tate McRae - I'd heard a few of Tate's songs last year ("You Broke Me First," "Working" and "You") but "She's All I Wanna Be" is what made her really click for me this year, and I would say I am a fan. I think the rock-inspired sound works super well for her in "She's All I Wanna Be," and she conveys her vulnerability excellently. I'm currently loving "Uh Oh" and am really rooting for it to be another hit for her. I've seen a lot of complaints about how nasally her voice is (I'll even admit to laughing at that one "this girl needs to blow her nose" comment in one of Tate's threads on here recently lol). Honestly though, I actually really like her voice and think it sounds quite unique.
