What is going on with the audience? There was a format-wide adjustment and every song lost significant audience. I donβt know how so many radio stations are still around. Most people listen to their digital music library on phones.

Well this is garbage, but it would still take something extreme for this to be kicked out of #10 tomorrow so I'd say we're safe.

Chart Data jumped the gun by a few hours. It's technically not official until tonight. It would take something really, really bizarre to fall out of the top ten tonight, but if they're gonna use the word "official," they should probabky wait until it's actually, you know, official.

Didn't expect/realize that Rain on Me only peaked at #10 on pop considering it went #1 on Hot 100. A reverse Bloody Mary experience (which hasn't hit the Hot 100 top 40), I guess - interesting that they have the same pop peak

Rain On Me only peaking at 10 is wild to me still.. but I'm glad BM made it.

Kinda crazy that BTW was her last #1 on pop too. I'm sure when it was released, no one would've ever thought it would be her last chart-topper there. She's certainly done plenty well since then and #1s aren't everything, but it's an interesting footnote. Glad that BM was able to secure a top 10 peak for her.

It's ironic how one of my local stations (95.1 WAPE) are playing the sped up version of this song with the original pitch. But my other local station (97.9 WKSL) is playing the original

Super happy this ended up going Top 10. I think this would have absolutely bombed if it were released back in the day given how polarizing the era was, but it's a solid song and a big win for her overall. Here's hoping it can stick around long enough to go recurrent.

Here's hoping it can stick around long enough to go recurrent. I think the BTW era suffered because she reached peak saturation in 2011 and the show biz pendulum swung in the other direction. It's still her best album, IMO. I think it's probably regarded by critics as her best work, too. I know that Rolling Stone ranked it in their revamped top albums of all time list and Pitchfork gave it a favorable re-listen a couple years back, too.

There's a handful of reasons the era suffered in my opinion. I agree that she was at peak saturation after The Fame Monster and, realistically, had nowhere to go but down. The music was good but a lot of it wasn't the most commercially friendly. I'd say it was a risk that paid off though. She secured a fan base with the era... which is something a lot of the current, newer artists are failing miserably to do IMO.

It was official when it was Billboard official but getting it on Mediabase's wonky tracking week is cute too

Are you aware that this forum relies more on Mediabase than Billboard in terms of radio updates? Independently of that, it's still a great achievement that "Bloody Mary" reached the Top 10 on both of them.

Iβm trying to think of examples of songs that hit Top 10 on either Billboard Pop Airplay or Mediabase CHR but not both. I know thereβs a few but I canβt remember them right now.

It was official when it was Billboard official but getting it on Mediabase's wonky tracking week is cute too The tweet literally said it "officially hit the top ten on Mediabase." It literally can't officially hit the top ten on Mediabse until it officially does so. Mediabase's official chart is posted Sunday nights. Period. End of story. That's it. No one was even talking about Billboard, not even the aforementioned tweet. (I also fail to see what makes Mediabase's tracking week "wonky," but go off I guess.) My god Gaga stans are the worst sometimes. Arguing over literally nothing. My post was a passing comment mocking Chart Data and nothing more. Y'all acted like I was taking away from this song's achievements when that wasn't even remotely the case. Learn to read. Are you aware that this forum relies more on Mediabase than Billboard in terms of radio updates? Iβm trying to think of examples of songs that hit Top 10 on either Billboard Pop Airplay or Mediabase CHR but not both. I know thereβs a few but I canβt remember them right now. Karmin's "Brokenhearted" and Avril Lavigne's "What the Hell" immediately come to mind.
