With how weak this rankdown felt at times, seeing this band chart again after seven years felt like a jolt in the arm that the list sorely needed.

In terms of their most recent lead singles, I'd put this above "The Man", but below "Caution". In this weak year for Alt, I can't say I'm terribly surprised that this is nearly top five, given how much Pulse tends to love The Killers on average.

A song that I, obviously, recognize as a really good song, even if it's not my favorite from this era. Since The Gaslight Anthem haven't been doing much of anything, I guess Sam's gonna have to lead the way with Boss worship.

There’s just a certain vibe in Sam’s music that’s just so pretty, I really enjoy everything he releases.

This song just kept moving upward...and upward...and upward. It seemingly hit a roadblock against the long-time top two, but, thanks to the efforts of a few posters in particular, this finally broke through into the top two and stayed there. Color me surprised. Not that I'm surprised it's in the top ten, but maybe one of you called this song being this high.

In a world where "Love Brand New" doesn't reach obsession levels for me, this is my clear #1 and one of the easiest #1s I've had in an Alt RD. In fact, I considered pushing this up to #1 during the course of the rankdown, because this keeps growing on me and hasn't stopped for a while now. That chorus is just magic.
Congrats on your favorite song winning, Leo ✔, wrip, Gonza'90, emerald, CarnoTorrential, HamedM1 💔, BB🌕, willapted33, and especially lyhom, who was especially sweating this result with the competition this song faced throughout.
