Dang. Not only do I see a few artists that I am interested in ranking, I see two songs on this list that I've listened to during my quest to find songs to submit for Wintertime Madness ("Take A Chance" and "Let's Get It Right"). I'm sure I'll get around to ranking these songs sometime in January.

I'm not much of a Eurovision person at all and I was a latecomer to this bop, finally listening to it months after the competition concluded but this was a pretty fun song and I am hating on myself for not checking it out sooner lol.

Cute lil pop rock bop, its nothing unique or special but I enjoyed this and a good portion of her album from last year. Self Sabotage and Break Me are my other favorites from that record.

This probably has dethroned Roses as my favorite from Kelsea thus far, just a very vibrant fun country pop song that reminds me of early Taylor Swift days. I do wish this got an actual push to pop radio in attempts to be a crossover hit but sadly that never came to fruition.

My Thoughts: 
Tei Shi is one of the underrated pop girlies I've been following for awhile now and this song is pretty striking because its directly about being trapped in an abusive relationship with her music label, which thankfully she is now indie and free from, and its directness yet ability to still apply the lyrics to relationships beyond what the song was written for is interesting. The sparse production on the song also kinda just fits but I can't explain why.

Still an absolute shame they left this off her debut record but sadly their was a lot of problems with that record. Anyways this might be my favorite from her yet cause I just love her vocal performance and delivery here, its very 2000s R&B and I'm here for the sensual vibe. Makes sense though since this was a song Scott Storch worked on.

From one of my favorite R&B records of last year, wish that i could is just a fun sleek R&B bop and one of my favorites from Umi thus far. The remix of it from Memphis LK is also a really fun dance version of the song that I enjoy as a companion piece to the original.

My Thoughts: 
RIP i_o, I had just started getting into his work due to his work on Grimes' "Violence" and sadly he would pass away not too long afterwards. When this record dropped last year as one of the last things he worked on I was immediately grabbed by it, it was a fun record and Lights vocals matches the fantastic beats. A shame we lost him so soon, hopefully he is in a better place now.

It's nice to have a song that feels open and raw from a mainstream act about the personal issues they face without it feeling like it is being catered to or watered down for a general audience, this one really stuck with me after her SNL performance of it which sadly was taken off of youtube. This one ended being a big grower off her album last year and is now one of my favorites.
