goddamn, this made me realize that an impressive streak of #1s we've had (i'd classify everything from jimmy cooks to anti hero good to great). some really interesting, forward thinking tracks in here too

Close runners up included Bruno, Anti-Hero, About Damn Time, Unholy, and Bad Habit. (And ....Christmas, though that re-smashes like clockwork every year now so I don't really count this 1994 song as a 2022 hit.)

I voted for: "First Class," "About Damn Time" and "Break My Soul."
Honorable mentions to "All I Want for Christmas is You," "Easy On Me," "Heat Waves," "As It Was," "Super Freaky Girl" and "Bad Habit." Though I like others as well.
I would have also voted for "All I Want for Christmas is You" but I'd rather vote for pure 2022 (or 2020s) songs for this particular poll.

For this poll I voted:
1. About Damn Time
2. Break My Soul
3. Unholy
As It Was would be #4 if we had a fourth choice. Super Freaky Girl would probably round out my top 5. The rest are meh to me.
Heat Waves is good but it burned on me in summer 2021 so by the time it blew up in 2022, I was over it. I don’t really count AIWFCIY since it’s been #1 at Christmas for the past 4 years.
Edit: Easy On Me is good too but I haven’t really listened to it in a long time. Burn out maybe?
