Back Then, Right Now is an underrated catchy bop. Deserved the top 20 for sure!

Happy Gabby at least made it this far. I was worried she'd end up lower due to her vocal pocket of haters.

But "Pick Me Up" is an undeniable country JAM. I am still miffed that it missed the top 5 after it looked like an obvious #1 hit up until the last ~3 months of its chart run. If it had climbed the chart faster (see: her not being a woman), it probably would've got there, but by the time it peaked, all the hype around it had leveled off.

I'm glad that Pick Me Up managed to stay until top 30. I know she has some unreasonable haters, so I was expecting her to get tanked, but she did well after all, especially compared to the last year.

This song very quickly became my favorite thing that Gabby has ever given us, and that opinion has only gotten stronger over time! Her vocals are not nearly as nasally here as they could have been accused of being on "I Hope" and "The Good Ones", and the steel guitar is on point, and the melody has a sneaky catchiness to it that I can't help but absorb every time I hear it. I definitely would have liked to see this be slightly more competitive for the top 20!

Right?!?!! I couldn't say it any better than this. This song is decent, maybe even on the strong side of decent, but to be knocking on the back door of the top 10 for most of the rankdown?!?!

I'm pleasantly surprised that Whiskey On You did so well here. The production, energy, and melody are all here as one strong package. I absolutely love this song. I can see Nate Smith becoming a decent hit maker, and I'm here for it. This song was #1 in Canada for like 6 weeks, granted with the help of Christmas freeze.

I found "Whiskey On You" to be unnecessarily noisy, but the melody itself is solid so it ended up in my mid 50s. Not something I'd purposely listen to tho.

Tenille and Gabby deserved better, but at least they made it this far.

"down home" has grown on me quite a bit, but I still can't say it is one of my favs from Jimmie. I love him tho and will be seeing him live again this summer and can't wait! His voice

Lmao I was just thinking the same thing. This is just a knockoff of "Gave It Back Broken" sonically, and then given the most generic possible hook and theme that a young female artist could sing in 2023. Hopefully it has a similar level of killer vocals to make it worth it!

I do like "down home" but I can't help but feel like it is only so well-loved for not being actively terrible... To me this is still pretty generic, middle-of-the-road material. Not among the best-of-the-year by any stretch.

Now that Pick Me Up is gone everything left is stuff I at least somewhat enjoyed. Happy to see Whiskey on You and Down Home make it this far as I didn't expect them to.

Glad to see Jimmie Allen make it so far with this song. I hadn’t been into most of his singles initially, but this and “Freedom Was A Highway” were two songs I found myself absolutely loving the last couple years and I was impressed by his set when I saw him in October as part of Carrie Underwood’s Denim & Rhinestones Tour. He’s a great live vocalist and has a lot of charisma; CU was wise to pick him as an opener because he turned out to be really fun.

It already does from the clip. Gabby's got the pipes! Lauren Alaina is the only other non-veteran girl who could give us a power ballad like that.

I'm not surprised but I agree "Like I Love Country Music" has gotta go already. It's basically just noise, I gave up trying to like it a long time ago. Easily one of the weakest songs on the album.
